From Africa

Unread post by Jacob Zuma » Tue Apr 07, 2009 11:20 pm

Hello everyone!

I am a herbalist (as we are called) from South Africa and, needless to say, I am new to this forum. I am a descendent of herbalist family. My family have used herbs from time immemorial. I hope to pass on the knowledge when my time to join my ancestors come.

Here in South Africa we are still hardcore when it comes to rituals and prayers.

I hope to learn more from all of you guys.

Hello, and welcome! You may find some similarities between your family traditions of herbal and magical practices and those that developed in the American South. There will no doubt be differences as well, in large part because many of the plants native to your part of the world cannot be grown in the USA, and our traditions evolved here with the use of the herbs available to us through wildcrafting or through commerce in dried herbs (often those with medical and / or cullinary uses, as well as magical uses). Thanks for joining us.
