Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
I thought I'd posted an update in here, but I don't see one. Just wanted to say I did visit Lucky Mojo and loved it so much. I had the honor and pleasure of a reading with cat in the tiny church (which was really excellent and highly recommended), and I enjoyed perusing the store and picking up some lovely goodies. The staff were all wonderful, helpful, friendly and warm. I am still enjoying the memory of that day and making good use of some of the oils I bought. As a Texan, I can testify it was well worth the trip.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
Those photos are amazing! The shop looks like such a warm and inviting place. Everything around is so green! I live in central AZ--land of cactus and sand.
My favourite thing, though, is the fortuneteller sign in the window. That is love and win.
If I'm ever in the area I'll have to drop by and say 'hi.' Dunno when or even if that will happen. I'm definitely putting 'visit the LM B+M shop' on my bucket list, though.

Hi all! Day 2 of the 2012 Hoodoo Workshop is finally uploaded to my Flickr account *whew!*
http://www.flickr.com/photos/65117488@N ... 611137202/
I would like to thank everyone for allowing me to be somewhat "intrusive" at times to get photos of them and what they were doing/learning. Your generosity and patience is greatly appreciated by me
I made A LOT of new friends and it was hands down the best weekend I have had in a good long time.
Cat: Thank You so much for this weekend... it was nothing short of amazing! Again, please caption away and take whatever you would like.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
...but I am terribly curious to know who or what the statue of the man with the top hat is supposed to be in the "altar" photo on the site's St. Expedite page:
http://www.luckymojo.com/saintexpedite.html
He is standing next to a bottle of Hoyt's Cologne and appears to be carrying a piggy bank, from what I can tell. I absolutely love that statue, I think it's darling--very 1920s/1930s.
Any help is appreciated

I agree with you! Now that I live across the country from Lucky Mojo, as opposed to half an hour away, I find these collections of pictures and video to be just what I need when I get a bit home-sick for the shop!

That was so fun! I just sat and watched them all. That must have been just awesome to get to do. I also watched the train crossing. It was really cool. The city and state referenced, that being Chattanooga, TN, is where I happen to be right now. I'm here at least twice a week for work. I don't live here anymore, but I was born in Chattanooga, TN. Well, I've got a bit more time to explore tonight, so I will get to it before the hour comes that I turn into a pumpkin.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
Visiting Lucky Mojo is an experience you will never forget! My boyfriend and I flew out from Arkansas this past weekend and we were made to feel welcome by everyone and had a fantastic time!
Cat, nagasiva, and staff were so kind to let us hang out with them (literally!) all day and they spent a lot of time visiting with us and helping us with practical advice and information. It was so fun to be in the shop and see all of the items in person that I’ve spent hours looking at online. I was glad I had packed lightly and left extra room in my suitcase to allow space for all of my treasures!
As if that wasn't enough awesomeness for one day, I got to have a reading with Lou Florez. He is truly an astute and gifted reader with a contagiously effervescent personality.
It was nourishing to the mind and soul to be there. We can’t wait to come back again!
I got some great pictures of the shop and grounds and was wondering if it would be okay for me to post them on my personal facebook page. (None of the pictures have any of the LM staff in them.) I would love to share a bit of LM with my facebook friends, but I thought I should ask first.
Thanks again to everyone at Lucky Mojo for your kindness and hospitality. We hope to see you all again soon. Blessings to all!

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
is there a way you guys/girls can do videos concerning your products..for instance i loved how madame pamita showed how to use a knob candle with condition oils etc. i'd love to see one on how to use certain oils like COS for instance. normally i just get a small amount and rub right in the middle of the head..then recently i read about a certain way it's supposed to be placed on the head..i def couldnt figure out what the description was saying so i would love to see a video showing the correct way of doing it. also how to use incense products..like i saw someone mentioning smoking lottery papers with incense..not sure how to picture that..and also dressing glass encased candles would be awesome too.
i wonder if this is something luckymojo can look into?
Thanks.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
Sarafina: Where did you read that there was a very specific way to anoint ones head with the Crown Of Success oil? You will find that many different practitioners have many different ways of working. One problem with making videos showing people how to do the work is that the videos themselves then get taken as the ONLY way to do the work. It would be fun to see a large group of workers and practitioners get together and share videos of how they do certain works. Best wishes to you!

Joaseph, i believe Sarafina is referring to the way i teach folks to use it./ Of course, that's not the only way, but the way i was taught, when you wear it on your body. I have no time to make a video, sorry.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
FYI: You can use Google to look inside the store and on the grounds. I use my phone for internet access, so it may look different on a computer. I just Google Lucky Mojo and the store comes up as the first choice. Under the Call, Directions, Website buttons click the down arrow and you get the choices to see inside, street views, and photos. Pretty cool.

Very cool tour, I am really liking everything that I'm learning from the forums here. And love the Lucky Mojo products I have so far, can't wait to add to the collection of supplies.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
I'm just curious if the prices in person at the shop are the same as they are online~ I'm giving some thought to making a trip out to Forestville.

I'm looking forward to it. Though I did have a question: is it possible for me to put in an order ahead of time, by phone perhaps, and collect/pay for it with cash when I arrive?

Wow, what a weekend! We have been having guests from all over -- and many have come long distances to take part in the weekend garden railway open house tours, and to see our little magic shop. The trains are running beautifully, we have old train songs playing on the speakers, and right now we are running the exaggeration fruit consist, while a family from Salt Lake City is shopping in the store! Amazing!

Thanks to all of you who know and like our work. We are very appreciative of all the good attention and friendly visits.

CORONAVIRUS IN SONOMA CO: LUCKY MOJO SHOP LIMITS CUSTOMERS TO MAIL-ORDER ONLY

Following in the wake of Facebook in San Francisco ordering workers to stay home and Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa placing thirty health-care professionals in quarantine, the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. in Forestville, California, is limiting its transactions to mail-order only. The shop, which is a popular local weekend destination for conjure doctors and occultists from the Bay Area, will continue to accept and fulfill mail-order business via the internet, and workers will be on site, but the public is encouraged to stay at home and order online, as the store will be closed to in-person shoppers for the near future. We regret the inconvenience this will cause our loyal local patrons, but the Covid-19 pandemic is spreading quickly throughout Sonoma County and we believe that this move is in the best interests of all. Thank you for understanding.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
To All LMCCo, Herb Magic, and MISC Candle Ministry Customers --
As of March 6, 2020 our doors remain open because some of the items we sell are considered essential (cleaning supplies, candles, household goods, medicinal herbs), but if mandated we will close as required.
We have been and will continue to follow all the CDC guidelines to ensure both the safety of our employees and our customers. We are sanitizing and disinfecting all high traffic areas and practicing high levels of self-hygiene by frequent hand washing.
If you have ordered online, please note that we are experiencing a large increase in orders and call volume. Therefore, we are currently unable to ship orders as fast as we usually do, and for that, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
At this time, PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST 7 - 14 DAYS FOR SHIPMENT. If this delay is not acceptable to you, please do NOT place your order right now.
It is becoming a challenge for us to replenish our inventory levels at this time, so some items you need may be currently out of stock. Let us know in the "Message Area" field if you will accept a partial shipment, a "split" or 2-part shipment, or if you want us to cancel your order if it cannot be completely filled. Please know that we are working hard, and as fast as we can to replenish inventory, fill orders, and ship them as soon as possible.
If you have been a regular visitor to our store, please be advised:
1. You will NOT be allowed to enter the store, as Sonoma County is under a "Shelter in Place" order from March 18, 2020 through April 7, 2020.
2. If you are local, you may order online and when your order is ready, we will phone you and inform you where your package will be placed in a convenient but hidden area of our property for you to pick up.
3. Please maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from all people you encounter, whenever possible.
4. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place; or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
5. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
6. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Thanks for your patience and understanding!

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
All of California is now on lockdown due to Coronavirus. We are working from home. At this time, please DO NOT CALL THE SHOP.
Be assured that we are filling orders the best we can, as fast as we can, and shipping packages for as long as we have mail and UPS service -- but we cannot fill orders if we have to stop to answer the phone.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
Amazon stopped ordering books from the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. Publishing Company on March 2nd, 2020, along with thousands of other "non-essential" goods. Now they have stopped shipping our books to the public, even those they still have in stock, again along with thousands of other "non-essential goods." You can still order LMCCo, MISC, and YIPPIE books from one of the many great metaphysical bookstores that carry our titles -- or come on over to our own book store and buy directly from us! All books written or edited by me will be signed. We also have many discount specials on books that will save you a buck or more per title.
Check out the individual titles and the discounted specials here in the Forum --

Or order them online here on the web:

We are hanging in there, but orders are running slow. Thankfully everyone seems to be in good spirits and people understand what we are trying to get accomplished despite the difficult times.
Hoping all is well with you folks too ...

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
I hope all the Lucky Mojo staff are doing well. Just wanted to check in about international orders before I place mine. Are these still going ahead and being posted out?
I ask as my country (Australia) is no longer doing basic air mail, and realised other countries might be doing the same.
Thank you.

Graveyardhag,
I am not sure whether Australia is accepting mail from the USA. Ask you local pos office.

Yes I've looked into this end, 2 to 3 weeks delays but they are still accepting. I just wanted to be sure you are still able to post.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
Hello Graveyardhag,
Lucky Mojo is still completing mail orders. In fact, apart from curbside pickup for folks who live near the shop, mail order is the only way they can get products to you. I can assure you that they will be well worth the wait!
Good luck.

Re: Visiting the Lucky Mojo Shop / Driving Directions
Hi, I'm sorry if this is not the place to do this. I placed an order on Thursday, but did not receive a confirmation email. I wanted to be sure this was normal and my order went through. My name is Ivory. I also did not see the announcement on the main page, and I am okay with receiving split shipments. Thank you for any help in advance.
