Welcoming MaryBee as a Moderator!

Unread post by Mary Bee » Wed Mar 09, 2011 4:30 pm

Hello moderators;

On the advice of Miss cat, I've decided on making my online presence in the hoodoo community more consistent, so I've changed my username from "waterborn" to "MaryBee"! Could a moderator assist me in changing my past posts with my old username on it to my new username? I appreciate it.

Thanks,
MaryBee

Hooray!

I went through the posts searching for "waterborn" where people referred to you, and i changed a chunk of them to MaryBee. I would have changed all of the occurances of waterborn on the entire forum, but your actually SIGNED your posts instead of using a sig line, which means that your signatures cannot be changed en mass, as would normally be the case. In the future, please create your sig line -- then whenever you change it, it will change on EVERY post. 'Cause with 87 instances to change, i got tired and went off to eat chicken chille verde instead ...

Since you are a graduate of the Hoodoo Rootwork Correspondence Course, i also look forward to you joining us as a moderator too, as soon as you learn how the mod tools work. Perhaps you can contact another graduate / mod and have them walk you through the procedures. Then you can change (or better, delete) all of your own signings and replace them with a proper sig line!

Stars7 -- you should know MaryBee through the HRCC student list, as this name is closer to her course name than "waterborn" was -- which i think is a Good Idea, since she is a graduate with several years experience in readings who is developing a practice in rootwork, just as you are.

Many of those who take the course do plan on eventually becoming professionals in the field. (it is by no means a requirement, though, that any student should wish to work for anyone beyond themselves or their famiy), I encourage all my students who want to become professionals to unify their names across all forums, blogs, and web platforms, and i do my best to help promote their careers.

I am so looking forward to the day that you too graduate from the course, too, Stars7 -- and to being able to make you a moderator as well. You have contributed greatly to the forum (you are the highest-numbered poster here!) and your helpful posts are much appreciated by all.
