Typographical & other errors - LMCCo, Herb Magic, AIRR, MISC
Dear cat,
As promised, I've started proofing the AIRR site. It's been a little slow going, as nursemaid duties are still in the forefront, but I'll post chunks as I get them done section by section.
General:
There's a disagreement in counseling vs. counselling. It is spelled with two ls in the caption for "Spiritual Consultation and Rootwork Advice" and one l in the blurb titled "AIRR Readers & Rootworkers who Perform This Work for Clients."
Astrology Page:
1. Capitalization is inconsistent. "Modern Astrology" is capitalized in its first appearance, but thereafter it is lowercase. The same is true for "Character Analysis" and "Horary Astrology," but the others are lowercase from their first apperances onward, except for "Vedic Astrology." In its first appearance, "astrology" is lowercase, but it becomes uppercase later in the description. In that same section, there is also the lone occurrence of "Astrology" by itself capitalized.
2. Under "Modern Astrology and the Natal Horoscope," "forecasts" is typed as "forcasts."
3. Under "Chinese Astrology," a comma is missing between "characteristics" and "and destiny." (OK, this one's debatable, as the terminal comma is a controversial troublemaker, but as it's used elsewhere, it should come in here for consistency.)
Bibliomancy Page:
1. Under "Divination by the Book," "Holy Bible" is mistyped as "Goly Bible."
2. Under "Bibliomantic Cleidomancy," "Bibliomantic Cleidomancy" in the text is bolded, which is inconsistent.
3. Under "Bibliomancy with the I Ching," "conformity" might be capitalized for consistency. Also, the final occurrence of "I Ching" has an accidental bracket after it.
4. Nitpicky, I know, but I recommend splitting the sentence that begins "When printed leaf-bound books ..." into two sentences, the first ending with "family possessions" and the second beginning "Their efficacy ..."
Card Reading Page:
1. In top paragraphs, "for to tell" should be "to tell."
2. The paragraph beginning "Gifted card readers" needs a period at the end.
3. Under "Divination Styles," "querent" and "significator" should be in double quotes for consistency; comma after "significator" should go inside closing quotation marks; "other forces" is mistyped as "others forces."
4. Under "Playing Cards," "regulation" is mistyped "regulartion." "The Two of Hearts" is mistyped as "he Two of Hearts."
5. Under "Tarot Cards," the commas following "Book of Thoth" and "Papus" should go inside the closing quotes. The comma and space between "In addition" and "many how-to-read Tarot ..." are transposed. "Spell-casting" is typed as "spell-crasting." In the final bullet point, "created" is typed "cxreated," "images" is typed "imags."
Thanks for letting me participate. More to come!

Re: AIRR-ors (attn: cat)
Thank you so much. The site is a wiki, so it suffers from "diverse hands syndrome." I will attend to the items you found at once. The site goes live June 6th, but i will be working on it for a while after that, of course.

Re: AIRR-ors (attn: cat)
No problem. Here are a few more.
Cast, Marked, and Randomly Generated Reading Page:
1. In the second introductory paragraph, "Botanical" should be lowercase for consistency with "zoological."
2. Under "Rune Divination," "one or more" is typed as "one of more."
3. Under Obi Divination, "is a variety of" is typed as "is variety of."
4. The Obi Divination paragraph is repeated at the beginning of the following section ("Four Cowrie Shell Readings").
5. Under "Four Cowrie Shell Readings," I suggest adding a comma after "In traditional Ifa"; I would spell out "two types of energy" instead of "2 types ..."; I'd also remove the comma between "cowrie shell" and "as a source of divination." For consistency, "Stomach" in "Stomach up" should be lowercase; the space between "mouth up" and "(light)" is missing; I'd include a comma after "Going further." "Greater more in depth reading" would be clearer as "Greater, more in-depth reading." Rather than "It represents all light ..." you might consider "It indicates that all light ..." A comma is missing between "with experience" and "and as such" and also between "however" and "is used in all." I'd change "3 dimensional" to "three-dimensional" and spell out "four quadrants."
6. Under "Four Pieces of Coconut Readings," I suggest spelling out "five major outcomes" but using numerals for numbers of white/dark sides for consistency.
7. Under "Diloggun," "the" before "La Regla de Ocha" is redundant. I suggest numerals for numbers of "mouths up" from 10 up, numeral for "17th possibility," and "eight possible objects" spelled out; "clients own ori" should be "client's ..." possessive.
8. Under "Bibliomancy" and "I Ching," "Bibliomancy," "I Ching," and "Book of Changes" are bolded, which is inconsistent with the formatting of the rest of the page.
Cup Reading Page:
1. Under "History of Tea Leaf Reading," "drinking cups" is followed by a slash rather than a period; a comma is missing between "Scotland" and "Ireland"; "fortune telling waitresses" takes a hyphen ("fortune-telling ..." as compound modifier).
2. Under "Special Cups," "fortune telling cups" also takes a hyphen.
3. Under "Astrological Cups ...," "Symbol Cups ...," and "Cartomancy Cups ...," "symbols lay" is typed for "symbols lie."
4. Under "Cartomancy Cups," "52 card" takes a hyphen.
5 Under "Coffee Ground Reading," "finely-ground" doesn't need a hyphen; I suggest "composed of" instead of "comprised of."
I'll keep working on it. More soon!

Re: AIRR-ors (attn: cat)
Here's one I found - under I Ching in the section of I Ching Divination with Coins, there's a line that says "Two tails and 1 dead = 3 + 2 + 2 or 7" which I'm assuming meant "Two tails and 1 head."
Re: AIRR-ors (attn: cat)
You beat me to it, Amanda. That's the very section I was working on. Nice catch!

Typographical & other errors on Lucky Mojo site catalog
I was going over the LM online catalog pages tonight as I'm putting together another fairly hefty order, and I noticed a few errors/problems.
Problem #1: "Change Good Luck To Bad" text for Van Van
This text occurs for both the regular Van Van mojo hand and the triple strength mojo hand. I haven't checked to see if the rest of the Van Van supplies offered on the site on the various pages also have this text.
"Open the way, clear away evil, change good luck to bad" http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatmojo.html
Problem #2: $4 for a Mixed Dozen Bath Crystals
Note: When this item is selected and put in one's shopping cart, the correct price of $44 appears - but there may be some selfish customers out there who insist that since it's listed at a price of $4 for a dozen that they should recieve that price.
-- Any 12 Hoodoo Bath Crystals Mixed Dozen $4.00
BCR-HOO-ZDOZ
http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatbaths.html
Problem #3: Prices don't match on some of the spell kits, ie Money Drawing and Money Stay with Me - looks like the prices were raised on the far right column with the Add to Cart button, but weren't adjusted in the description columns to their immediate left. Some kits have consistent prices, others show price differences from $1 to $5.

Re: Typographical & other errors on Lucky Mojo site catalog
Thanks -- i have fixed them all. Problems like this are the result of "many hands syndrome" -- that is, one person (me) laying out the page and then someone else updating it without noticing my coding system. I appreciate your help.

I would like to add to this (I don't want to start an another thread dealing with the same topic) and say that the link for:
How to Read Divination Signs from Candle-Burning
on the main HOODOO IN THEORY AND PRACTICE page Section C
gives you:
404 - Document Not Found
The URL you requested
was not found on this server
because the link you followed is outdated
or there was a spelling error.
Please fix the link! Thank you...

Ritual Sound
Oh, I can help with this one. Not all of the products have a page about them the way say, Fiery Wall of Protection or Fast Luck do. Miss Cat will probably get to them at some point I'm sure.

Ah, I see! I thought that if there was no additional info it usually took you to a generic order page with the four possible items to order...not the crazy 404 error message I got...
Oh well... Thanks for the information!!!

Oh rats!
I hate to be the Supreme Chancellor of Bother, (at least in this thread) but this link at Southern-Spirits is kicking to the 404 Error screen:
WILLIAM WELLS BROWN:
Uncle Frank, a Fortune Teller Slave in Missouri
from "Narrative of William W. Brown, An American Slave" (1847).
I would really like to read that. The link is from the main page of Southern-Spirits. Thank you! Love!

Lucky Mojo Black Salt Correction
Hello Miss Cat
I been reading the descriptions of the different products Lucky Mojo offers and I noticed a small mistake in the Black Salt page. Black salt in spanish is called "Sal Negra" because Salt is considered feminine -la sal- , so we refer to it as "Negra" intead of "Negro" which corresponds to masculine things. It's a common mistake due to the language differences, just thought it would be nice to mend it for orthographic and learning sakes.

Re: Typographical & other errors on LMCCo, H-M, AIRR, and MISC
hello,
I just noticed while placing a candle order a small error. The main page of the MISC where it lists all the candles available under the candle light service has the correct price of 20.00 listed for each candle but when you click on a specific candle to see more info on it, it takes you to a diff page with the old price set to 18.00. Once the customer clicks on "add to cart" for any candle the system does correct the price back to 20.00.

Re: Typographical & other errors - LMCCo, Herb Magic, AIRR, MISC
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not - but I was shopping for Road Opener supplies and happened to notice that the "Rose of Crucifixion" oil right below it has the same "Road Opener" description. Not sure if that was a typo or intentional (as I'm not that familiar with Rose of Crucifixion as it were) but thought I'd mention it just in case.

Hello Everyone
Just noticed while browsing Lucky Mojo.
The SKU for
GINSENG ROOT (WONDER OF THE WORLD) POWDER and
GINSENG ROOT (WONDER OF THE WORLD)
are reversed on the web page http://www.herb-magic.com/#Herbs-C
They are correct when added to the shopping cart.
Could cause an order problem for those who don't use the shopping cart.

Re: Typographical & other errors - LMCCo, Herb Magic, AIRR, MISC
I noticed three minor typos when reading through the categories at readersandrootworkers.org. I highlighted the text and took screenshots. Is there someone specific I should direct those to? I wish I'd done the same as I was reading Hoodoo Theory and Practice, but I'm sure to read it again and I'll be more vigilant next time. I'll try to describe the locations, but if you'd prefer screenshots, let me know!
1. http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/C ... dle_Spells. Fixed Candle Spells, four sentences from the bottom of the first paragraph, "fat" should be "fact"
2. http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/C ... :Mojo_Bags. Within the description of the third image on right, should read "winnings" as opposed to "winings" ... I did chuckle a little.
3. http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/C ... :Talismans. In the area titled "protective charms against the evil eye"- second paragraph, last sentence reads "ornamented with a blues bead" ... And I chuckled again, sorry!
The summaries were great, very informative and well written. I chalk the majority up to intuitive auto correct.

3. http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/C ... :Talismans. In the area titled "protective charms against the evil eye"- second paragraph, last sentence reads "ornamented with a blues bead" ... And I chuckled again, sorry!
The summaries were great, very informative and well written. I chalk the majority up to intuitive auto correct.

I tried to edit, but may have accidentally deleted my previous post. Oooops. I found another...
http://readersandrootworkers.org/wiki/Archangel_Uriel. Last sentence refers to "Gabriel" rather than Uriel.

Glad I found this topic - seen a few typos on the site but never knew this topic existed!
Found this one recently, as I find others now I know where to post!
http://www.luckymojo.com/spells/real.html#7 - Paragraph 2 - "lack of dunds" I believe is supposed to be "lack of funds" ^_^.
[EDIT]
Also the last paragraph of the I'm a Newbie section has this triple L - " as welll as having"

Re: Typographical & other errors - LMCCo, Herb Magic, AIRR, MISC
Didn't really 'find' this today, but more so realized the solution.
On the LMCCo catalog on any page with the scrolling left banner, on larger than normal screens produces two, one on the left and one on the right (which obscures prices a bit). I use two monitors (one medium flat screen tv size and one medium avg size monitor) I realized however that it didn't do this on the forum.

Thats when I noticed that the background on most other pages with the left scrolling banner, on the forum for instance, has a repeat-y where the catalog does not which is causing it to repeat in both directions rather than just vertically.
I realize this might not be an issue for most people though. Just a heads up!

Hello,
I was looking over at the webpage on history of freezer spells and I spotted a typo under "how to craft a freezer spell" section 2. Right at the end of that section, the word lemon is spelled incorrectly.

Found another one.
In the bottle spells and spell bottles page, under the section titled "hoodoo crossing breakup and vinegar bottle spells," paragragh 8 that starts with the word "generally" has a double "and" in there.

I must have gotten stuck with a cached version somehow because it’s still not working for me, and I tried dumping my history and my cache on both my iPad and my PC. If it works for you it’s probably on my end.
Edit: although the link does end in dot htm” which I’m assuming should be dot html?

On the Peony Root Spiritual Supplies page, in the middle of the page it seems to suddenly transition into text from the Jezebel spiritual supplies page and then back again.

Whoa -- that would be a serious error! Thank you so much for catching it.
By the way, i am thrilled with your post reports -- you are catching a lot of misplaced posts and helping me and the other mods to split them out and move them. That is very kind of you and much appreciated.

I fixed the weird Jezebel inclusions in the Peony Spiritual Supplies page. Looks like it was one of those buffer-dumps that happen sometimes when one is not paying attention to one's work. Mea culpa! Anyway, it's good now, thanks to you.

Re: Typographical & other errors - LMCCo, Herb Magic, AIRR, MISC
Ah, That is what is known in the business as an Unwritten Text. It is not a bug -- it's a feature!
When i started the site, i wrote each page, one at a time, and uploaded it. Somewhere around 2005 - 2006, i was about a hundred pages behind, and so i hired my friend and colleague Lara Rivera to build blank pages for me to just fill in with text, to speed up the process by allowing me to just focus on my writing. I filled them in at a fairly good clip, but some of them were overlooked -- they did not appear on a list and i had no time to go back and check every page. Over the years, folks like you who are new to the site and helpful find these blank pages, and alert me. Then i write them up. I will do this one today, perhaps -- if not, tomorrow.
THANKS.

Ooh okay! I thought perhaps there was an error in the code that was preventing the text from showing up.
I’m glad to be able to help!
Edited to add: Queen Elizabeth root is also unfinished. https://www.luckymojo.com/queenelizabethorrisroot.html
As is Revenge, although that is perhaps more self-explanatory.
https://www.luckymojo.com/revenge.html
Today I was curious about how Solomon Seal Root in oil is different from King Solomon’s Wisdom oil, but the former isn’t yet written. https://www.luckymojo.com/solomonseal.html
Please don’t feel pressured to rush through these. I know you said on the radio show you’ve been busy with lots of orders and short staffed. Just use these to “bookmark” the pages for future reference!
