need help in getting my kids

hello am divorce for a few years now my ex husband has the kids ,cause he said if i ddont do it he will get my green card taken away from me . He just became a Jehovah's Witnesses. and now he dont want me to talk to the kids ,and when i call from the house to his cell or job he said he will get me arrested if i cann i need my kids ,I have been in pain far to long please tell me what to do please before I do something stupid

Hello:

First off, you need a lawyer. Preferably, some lawyer who specializes in immigration law and/child custody, or a lawyer who works in a firm that handles both kinds of cases. You cannot be denied access to your kids by your ex just because of your immigration status. Please find the number for Legal Aid in your state (look in the yellow pages or do an internet search for your state) and consult a lawyer. You will need one to fight for your kids.
If you say you're going to "do something stupid", please also get some counseling and spiritual help. I know you're hurting and in pain, but when you're like this you cannot do magic for yourself.
