Josh's Intro

Unread post by J Simulcik » Sun Feb 22, 2009 10:03 pm

Hey all, my name is Josh. I am a long-time fan of cat's work, and a student in her rootwork course. I have read both books cover-to-cover three times in the last year, and once I am back in the States in April, I am going to do it again! I just haven't decided whether I will start on the homeworks right away, or go one week at a time with the book. Here's my story from a post I made on the students' yahoo forum, so some of you may have seen it before:
"Cat's sites are some of the first websites I
visited after the internet started to be accessible at home at 56kbps
when I was a teen. Though I felt a pull toward hoodoo, I actually
spent more time at the amulet archive (and other, more 'exotic' occult
sites) than at the hoodoo pages on purpose because rootwork was so
similar to the 'superstitions' of many of the people that lived around
me in very rural central Virginia. And Everyone knows how wrong the
older generations are ;) "

I think this forum is a great idea. I'm a lurker by nature, but I will always answer direct questions and help anyone in any way that I can!

Thank you, Bri. Hopefully someday I will be able to help people as one of Miss Cat's Certified Practitioners. You and the other forum staff constantly set an example that the rest of us can strive to meet.
