Last night a HRC Course participant and I conducted a test of the conference telephone bridge. The line is stable and sounds very good. I apologize for the delay but I had to switch services. They say that good things come to those who wait; well that is what happened in this case.
The company I was going to use did a bait and switch on me. They offered 16 free lines but the number was always busy. When I inquired about the constant busy signal they tried to sell me an expensive package. One of my proteges who hosts telephone conferences hooked me up with the current company we are going to use.
We now have one hundred (100) free lines! That's right, I said 100 FREE lines! This means more of you can join in the fun. So we are ready to proceed with the Luckymojo Hoodoo Rootwork Show. I am excited and look forward to talking with all of you.

There are almost 400 students, counting both classes, but since only half the students participate in the Yahoo elists, we expect that the number who join the teleconference will be small and maneagable.
The only cost to you is for the long distance call. The obvious benefits of being able to chat with Cat, myself and each other regarding hoodoo is beyond estimation.
The issue of participants maintaining anonymity was brought to my attention; and that this may be an excuse for non participation. Cat has always said that she wants to treat this class as a real school -- where the teacher gets to know who the students are. So if you want to remain anonymous, perhaps this teleconference is not for you.
Well, that is all for now. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns.
We will post daily reminders -- with the phone number to call as well as the date and time -- every day until the day of the event.

Participation by students constitutes permission to record their
questions and comments. The recording of any questions or comments by a
HRC student automatically becomes the property of the copyright holder,
Catherine Yronwode. Should the HRC teleconference be rebroadcast,
transcribed, or sold as an audio recording at a later date, no further
permissions will be obtained from the participants. However, course
participants will be notified beforehand.
