I mentioned before that I loved the last radio show.

I wrote down a lot of details but under the "compelling people to contact you"
segment I have details on the psalms to recite and the tobacco candle, but I
see that I have made the mysterious notation "white sage--burn," and I don't
remember what it was referring to. Would you mind posting this detail to the
list?

This method is actually a little less forceful than compelling, but it is
definately a way to contact someone and communicate your need, rather like an
herbal, spirit sort of telephone. I advise keeping your communication short
and sweet (i.e., "I love you" or "call me", or some such).

At an open window or door or outside, burn white sage. As you light it,
ask the spirit of the plant to go to the person you intend, wherever they are,
whatever they are doing. Distance means nothing, by the way. Then
concentrate on them, and communicate your message. When the sage has burned out (and
you may burn it for awhile; 5 minutes or so is not unusual), repeat the same
procedure with sweet grass. You can also use cedar instead of the white sage,
but I usually opt for the sage. It usually takes a minute or two, and then you
feel the person's mind turn to you (if your nature is such that you feel
things like that) and you can work with them. Again, short communications
generally communicate more easily than long-winded ones.

This will work unless the person is very psychically barricaded against
you.

If that is the case, try doing this at night while they are asleep. I have
found that they get the message, and their thoughts will turn to you the
following day. Providing there is not a difficult history with you to overcome, if
you have asked them to call, they will.

I've found it's possible to work with people who are very closed down, if I
persistently invite them to speak to my Higher Self through their Higher
Self. It really doesn't matter how the caller envisions the Higher Self,
just that the call is an invitation or request, rather than a command. A
bit of humility on the part of the Querent doesn't hurt. I realize this is
outside the tradition of hoodoo, but it does work.

Closed ones also open up a little faster if they are offered something in
trade for their presence. Promises of safety, love, healing have worked for
me. I've also found that skittish persons may approach very openly over
time, if invited repeatedly over several sessions and allowed to leave when
they become uncomfortable. Eventually, once trust is established, you can
open communication on much more difficult subjects.

that must be why i can't make it work either. we live in the same
area and dsl is not an option, darn!

(I know what you mean. After 10 years on the internet, we only finally got DSL in our town this year! --cat)

I have DSL Ultra and the RealPlayer doesn't work for me either...it
just says "loading" and never plays.
