I have made extensive updates and additions to the Numerology Bibliography. There is still much to add, but it is now all in proper html format with comments on books of importance.

Thanks, nagasiva. Over the years both of us have put in many hours compiling and annotating bibliographies on topics of magic, but our work rarely receives any comments or appreciation.

The bibliographies are not graphic -- they could be, but that adds a lot of additional time to researching and writing them -- and it may be that today's students of the occult simply want a list of books currently in print and for sale at Amazon or downloadable for free, with or without ethical considerations of copyright violation. There are few folks in this Forum who even bother to read previous posts in a topical thread, much less click a link that will take them to a web page bibliography in which they can learn that Clifford W. Cheasley was a student of Mrs. L. Dow Balliet. Even mention of a 1909 newspaper article on "The Name-Changing Cult" does not get a rise out of them.

Meanwhile, the idea that this is new and original research means nothing to folks who, after ten years of this Forum''s existence, think that they are the first person to ask how to get their boyfriend back.

Some days I am more customer-service oriented than others, but it saddens me when my role as a researcher and writer is less valued than my role as a customer service rep.

What a wonderful list for noobs! I appreciate all the work magical ladies like you do in order to teach others. I have to come clean and admit that I have been lurking on this webpage for over 5 years!!! However, it seemed as if as soon as I was drawn to this site, I started to hear murmurs about this site owner being racist towards black women.

I don't understand why that rumor has been going around or why! But as a black woman born of two indigenous bloodlines (from Louisiana and South Carolina), the call to my culture cannot be ignored any longer. I feel like that rumor is being used to block others from simply learning and experiencing their culture! What a pity!!!

I just want to apologize to the owner of this site (even if it's been MY LOSS for listening to ignorant hearsay) for not doing my own research and coming to my own conclusions. Whew! With all that out of the way: my question is about the Name Changing Cult. Although I don't mind spending on my new spiritual path, I'd like to know which book would be the best start regarding Number Magic; Choosing and Changing Your Name for Luck and Profit.

Thank you in advance to whomever replies.

Hello, BonitaRitaChiquitaOrita --

No need to apologize. Haters are everywhere. But thanks for checking me out and offering friendship. I appreciate that a great deal.

As to your question, i know it may sound self-serving, but i think the best in-print and easily obtained advice on name-changing for numerological reasons (which i followed myself) is found in the book i compiled from the out-of-print writings of Dr. Roy Page Walton, which i studied as a young girl, and still use, and to which i added my own thinking on the subject. It is inexpensive and covers a lot of topics, but there is special attention paid to name changing and to the selection of names for a new business as well. This is is:

The Secret of Numbers Revealed ed. by catherine yronwode

Use in Magic:
Numbers are everywhere and all around us — but do you know what they mean and how to read them? This book explains the five branches of numerical influence on human affairs:

* Number Magic: Choosing and Changing Your Name for Luck and Profit
* How To Get Your Winning Number: Catching Lucky Numbers to Bet

Based on material first written by Dr. Roy Page Walton in 1914, augmented with contributions by Lewis de Claremont and Godfrey Spencer in 1936, and doubled in scope under the editorship and authorship of Catherine Yronwode, this concise, illustrated introduction to the science of numerology will enable you to make your numbers work for you!

It's Facebook Fridays! for March 1, 2024! If you're a lottery player, your dream omens can help you win big! Here's how!

Image

The hidden meaning and power of numbers forms the basis for the divinatory science of numerology -- The secret traditional methods to gain advantage through the use of lucky numbers. Dream books specifically designed for lottery play may provide interpretations of dreams (dream divination), but they also have something that other dream books do not have -- lucky numbers for you to bet on, depending on what your dreams reveal. This package also includes 2 rundown books, with convenient and easy-to-use printed tables for Numbers fans who like to bet on "relative" or "associate" numbers, otherwise known as "follow-ups" or numbers that are more likely to follow a winning number the next day.

The Lucky Mojo Curio Company is holding a random drawing to give away 2 awesome spiritual supply prizes to expand your mind and bring your dreams to life. This week the prizes are the Lucky Number Special book giveaway:
* Prof. Hitt's Rundowns and Workouts by Prof. E.Z. Hitts;
* The "Pick'Em Dream Book" by Rajah Rabo;
* The Secret of Numbers Revealed" ed. by Godfrey Spencer, catherine yronwode, and Dr. Roy Page Walton;
* H. P. Dream Book by Professor Uriah Konje;
and last but not least:
* Kansas City Kitty Dream Book by Kansas City Kitty.

To enter the giveaway, click this link https://facebook.com/LuckyMojoCurio to get to the LMCCo FB page. Then like the page and leave a comment. Emojis don't count and the quality and style of the content will be taken into consideration when making the award.

On SUNDAY, we will select 2 winners at random, announce their names in the original contest thread, and ask them to message The LMCCo FB page with their mailing addresses, so we can send them their FREE Lucky Number Special. Then we'll announce their names on our Sunday radio show, the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour!

Please note: If you receive a reply to your contest-entry comment with a notice to go to a fake page that looks like our official page (the URL is a string of numbers, not our name) and if you give them your credit card number, you will be charged by them! This contest is a giveaway -- there is never any charge to the winners. Furthermore, the Lucky Mojo Curio Company does not ask anyone for a credit card via social media, ever. Lucky Mojo only accepts credit cards at our secure shopping cart site on the world wide web. These fake replies to contest entries are a FRAUD and a SCAM. We report scam accounts and postings to Facebook administration and encourage you to do so also.
