--------------------------------------------------

NOTE 1: Tyler made (and makes) other sizes as well:

3 1/4" in diameter
6 1/4" in diameter

WE DO NOT WANT THOSE SIZES -- only 8" DIAMETER.

--------------------------------------------------

NOTE 2: Tyler made (and makes) stainless
steel standard sieves as well:

WE DO NOT WANT TYLER STEEL SIEVES -- ONLY BRASS.

--------------------------------------------------

NOTE 3: In earlier models, from 1910 - 1940s (?),
the symbol in the center was an ornamental image of
wire mesh screen, surrounded by words and a ribbon,
and the company name was written on one line at the
bottom:

THE TYLER
DOUBLE CRIMPED
The W. S. Tyler Company Cleveland 14, Ohio

At some point the W.S. Tyler Co. changed the symbol
in the center to a large block letter T with the
word TYLER in it, followed by the address written on
two lines:

T
TYLER
The W. S. Tyler Company
Cleveland 14, Ohio

WE DO NOT WANT THOSE "T-TYLER" LATER MODELS

--------------------------------------------------

NOTE 4: Other makers manufctured similar screens as
well. Some other makers' names and words found on on
these sieves are:

Newark Wire Cloth Co.
Fisher Scientific Company
Preiser Scientific
E.H. Sargent & Co. Chicago, Ill. U.S.A
U.S.A. Standard Testing Sieve A.S.T.M.E.

The above sieves are sometimes marked with a "Tyler
Screen Equivalent" but they are not the old-style
W.S. Tyler of Cleveland 14, Ohio "Double Crimped"
8" brass type.

WE DO NOT WANT THOSE OTHER MAKERS's SEIVES

--------------------------------------------------

Thank you for you consideration.
