Saint Martha Novena Candle Questions and Answers

Unread post by csrs2 » Wed Oct 21, 2009 8:17 pm

Hi,

I was wondering was color of candle you use for Saint Martha? Some places it specifies red and others green.

What kind of offering does she like?

Red works the best. The African black Saint Martha the Dominator with snakes works better with a red candle. I think the Catholic white Saint Martha with the Dragon on a chain is linked to the green, red, or white candle, depending on the maker of the candle. Im not quite sure why this is, but I use red, and i burn her candle on a Tuesday.

Hi Starinthesky7,

Thank you so much for your reply. I work with the white st martha. May be you can guide me in what I'am doing. I pray everyday to st martha. I always have lit the green candle along with some flowers for her. Under her feet I have put written on brown paper the name of my ex boyfriend in hopes that he will return and under the candle I have put a picture of him along with a petition. Me and him had a falling out maybe because I was to demanding as for what he had to offer me and he does not want to talk to me. I think this was stupid, he does not apparently. We got along great and really cared for each other but distance was always an issue at the end. I would really appreciate if you could please instuct me as to what I should do to get a positive outcome from my prayers. Maybe something I should offer or so? Thanks.

Well if distance is an issue perhaps you might want to work on that if that is such huge issue for you. Also, you said you are demanding. You might want to work on that as well. In addition, i would do some reconcilation work because st martha might bring him back, but you and him still need to heal from this fight. Lastly, make sure that you are using the right saint martha as i said before. If she chooses to work with you, then you will have a positive outcome. Be patient.

Man I hear what your saying Cristina. I have the same problem sort of with the exeption of me being too bossy. Distance and honesty was my issue. Reconciliation work is important because if things aren't resolved you'll be in the same boat all over again.

Well I really couldn't do anything about the distance, so I have done a honey jar I burn a pink candle on it every Monday, Wednesday and Friday; I shake it every day to awaken the energy. But first I had a divination done to even see if a reconciliation was even possible. I got the green light, but there is a lot of anger that has to be worked through, so I'll be doing reconciliation work for a while. I have had a candle lit at the missionary and I have a practitioner do one as well. Another slight problem is that he is with someone else that I had recently discovered has cheated on him, so I'm also doing some break up work as well. So I'm doing quite a bit. I have to say that the hardest part is keeping calm and positive because I'm one of those people that gets anxious when they wait for a long time, but you have to because the spell needs to manifest. Another thing is that once you start the spells you have to be careful not to mention them to anyone and do them in private. I like to discuss things with people that know that I do spells, so that's definitely a work in progress for me. I would say that depending on the difficulty of the situation I would get help from a practitioner. My next step is a skull candle to get into their mind and plant a message there I'm going to use red (love, passion, etc.).

I haven't seen too many results in the reconciliation, but I have seen some budging on the break up spells. However I have done tarot readings to see if it's taking affect which it is, but my target is stubborn so it's gonna take some time. Also bare in mind that not all signs are going to be obvious like BAM in your face; some maybe discreet and barely noticable.

send me an email and I'll give you the name of a LM associate that does reconciliation candles that are very affordable; if your interested.

Good luck with everything!

with a candle of the intranquil spirit i tape a picture of him alone to the bottom of the candle him facing the candle the i put some powder canela inside the candle and write his name with a pen on the inside of the candle read the prayer on the candle and ask the intraquil spirit for him to return, it is best to do on a tuesday or friday if you do it with faith and love you will see he will call or return in no time, it's work for me as fast as in 30 min. Good luck hope i was able to help.

Having worked with St Martha, I can tell you that if she doesn't like him, she won't bring him back to you. Keep in mind she's from a very different culture and time, and her standards regarding decent men may be a bit different. She's also a very strong willed lady who doesn't tolerate much BS.

Patymartha,
Wow that is a fast time! I normally wait for the full moon because the instructions say so, but dang maybe I'll do what you did. I didn't think about taping his picture to the bottom. I'll try that too.

Well St Martha is used to dominate men, and in my experience she doesnt really like men at all. She likes to see them suffer, and likes to dominate them and see them suffer. She has yield results in all cases for me and my clients regardless if she likes them or not, but the again I am not using her as a sole means to bring them back.

So in other words if you really want that guy to suffer then you ask her for her help, but using her is not the best step if you want them to suffer and then come back to you right? If someone wants that goal then intranquility is best right? I'm just making sure that myself and others understand that.

St Martha is great for domination of anyone, but I have found in my experience that she likes to dominate men. If you read her petition it is simiilar to the IS...However it is not the same. So she does make them suffer to a certain degree until they submit to you. You do not have to only use them to suffer like in a hexing kinda way, but they just suffer if they resist your wanting to dominate them

Hello,

I've been petitioning St. Martha 9 Tuesdays on a 7 inche Free Standing Red candle from LM.

The first 2 Tuesdays, the flame was normal. It took about 5-6 hours to burn down 1 designated block of the candle

the 3rd ritual took place last night, the flame was so weak and only raised about 1/4 of an inche. After 6 hours of burning, the candle only went down 1/2 of the designated block. During that time, I had to remove some of the dark residue from the wick. I prayed to St. Martha to dominate and bring back my ex-boyfriend, and prayed her to keep the flame going because I had to go sleep....My boyfriend is a very stubborn person, who left me 4 months ago after 5 years together....

I woke up 2 hours later, and my candle burned all the way down took out more than 4 blocks of candle, and left behind only 2 blocks...I supposed to have 6 blocks left for the next 6 Tuesdays. I look around and found out that there was a crack/opening lenghwise on the St Martha's picture side against the wall, which caused the wax to pour out and cover his picture and my petition paper underneath the candle, forming a brain-like image around the candle. The wick was still standing straight right in the center with no dark residue.

I read the candle divination from the website, but nothing described to what happened to me.
Is it some sign from St. Martha? Is she trying to tell me something?
What should I do with the remaining candle which is not enough for my next 6 Tuesday rituals?

Your feed back is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Love

I would get some divination done, and see what this might indicate. I would not continue working the St. Martha candle until you find out what is the sign behind this.

Hey Everyone..

So due to some circumstances I couldn't really control, I missed lighting my candle Tuesday, now I did say the novena and prayed early in the morning just in case I didn't make it home. So yesterday I re-dressed her scared place in my home, giving her fresh water and flowers. Today I decided to go down and light the candle anyway, and pray to her (some crazy things happened on Tuesday) about what happen this week and why I know now more than ever that I need to continue working with her on my petition.

First, I could be crazy but I swear I heard a woman's voice say, Where's my coffee? (spooky, but true) So I am not making a fresh pot of strong black coffee for her but within minutes of me sitting down to pray and lighting the candle, he called!! (double spooky)

So I know in my heart, she is helping me.. BUT my question is this..

Should I just add another Tuesday to my novena to make up for not lighting the candle on Tuesday or Should I begin the novena again from the 1st Tuesday, now I know Starsinthesky usually keeps the Tuesday going until the petition is granted and I've been thinking the same thing, because I am getting the feeling my petition may take way more than 9 Tuesday, not because St. Martha isn't helping me but because the set of cirumstances we need to overcome may take longer to work themselves out..

Any suggestions, advice.. would be much apprieciated!
My most gracious thanks to La Caridad Del Cobre, St. Martha, St. Michael, and La Virgen de La Regla

Try speaking with Blessed Saint Martha. She'll tell you if she wants you to keep going or not. However, if you decide to perform 9 Tuesdays, then that is a spiritual vow you are making and should at least uphold that obligation.

Speaking with her will reveal more.

I feel like you need to be consistent when you are doing work with a saint. If you start with being lackadaisical about things (not saying you were, but just stating in general), then it shows your devotion to them. If you are doing the whole 9 Tuesday ritual, then personally, I would start over. However, if you are like me and light every Tuesday anyways, then it wouldnt matter. I think you are fine, but you need to be consistent, and you did say the prayer. But I would make sure that you light the candle even if it is for a few minutes. In addition, I was taught that a day consists of from sunset to sunset the next day so if you have to begin after midnight to light (which sometimes I have to) then that is still considered Tuesday.

So for the first, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but it seemed the most appropriate out of all the categories.
Last night I lit a plain white novena candle and said a prayer to Saint Martha before I begin the 9 Tuesdays of Saint Martha. I thought it would be nicer to approach her first before asking her to help me. Before I went to bed I said another prayer, silently, asking her for a sign when or if she decides to work with me. I had a dream a little later of the person I would need help with, my target. They were doing exactly what I was hoping they would. It was as if I was seeing a vision of the results of working with Saint Martha. Now I want to take this as a sign that Saint Martha has agreed to take on my case, I'm just afraid I might be wrong and it's just one of those wish fulfillment dreams, where your subconscious provides you with something you can't acquire in your waking life. I rarely have those and most of my dreams normally end up being messages or premonitions, but I want to be sure. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Now for candles:
I bought two plain novena candles: one red, one green, as I heard those were Saint Martha's colors. When I look on the board, people often say that they tape pictures of her on the glass. I have to burn my candles discreetly and therefore can't tape a picture of her on it. Could I simply put the picture on the altar in my room while I burn my candles outside? Secondly, I can't decide on which color to start with. Has anyone worked with Saint Martha? Do you know if she has any preference towards green or red?

Thankyou,
Dev

Hey Dev,

Hopefully Starsinthesky will answer you as well, but I read through most of the St. Martha thread and there seems to be differing opinions on colors, I'm in the middle of a novena to her myself, and have decided to burn one red and one green, the green one I annoint with St. Martha oil only and the red with oils related to my petition, it felt right to do it this way, and when I heard her ask me "Where's my coffee, well I took it as a sign she is working with me and is accepting my "set-up" so to speak. Hope this helps, read through the St. Martha thread it helped me alot.

Well, personally, I lit a candle to her in green and she did NOT answer me, but when I did it in red she definitely spoke to me and has been doing so ever since. So the answer I would try in both colors on your altar if you feel the need to do so, but most people use red when working with st. martha. As for the pictures, you can take her picture to the bottom of the candle, along with your petition, OR you can even hold up her picture while you say her petition, and then put it away. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do, and if you cannot use a picture then that is fine.

As for your dream, you need to get a reading regarding that. Here, on the forum we are not going to be able to tell you if she is trying to communicate with you or not.

I started the novena last week and I tried both candles. I haven't seen any real solid signs of it working, but already I feel like things are moving in the right direction. Thank you so much for your input. :)

Update - So Tuesday I lit my candles ( 2 - 1 red, 1 green 4 inch) when I came back to clean up I found the glass candle holder (small 2 in plate) cracked in half :(

Not sure what to make of this, my gut feeling is that I've got a bit of a battle on my hands..

I would get some divination done to see what this exactly means. I know Ive had some candle holder break because the candle melts down, and the flame causes the glass to get too hot, and it cracks. So get a 10 minute reading done to see what this means for your work.

If you burn Saint Martha the Dominator vigil candle to dominate a man for sex, what oils go well with Saint Martha?

I Dominate My Man, Domination, and Essence of Bend Over would go well for any time of domination work. For dominating a man for sex you'd want to go with I Dominate My Man and Follow Me Boy.

Canela is Spanish for cinnamon.

All respect to ConjureMan for a good list of hoodoo domination oils, but to my mind, the best oil for dressing a Saint Martha candle or for floating in water on a Saint Martha altar, and the best bath crystals for bathing as part of a petition to Saint Martha, and the best incense to offer Saint Martha, and the best sachet powders to sprinkle on a man so that he may be dominated in the name of Saint Martha are ....

I entirely agree. I might have misread. I thought they were looking for oils in addition to Saint Martha products to compliment their work.

When I work with Saint Martha for domination I dress with her oil then a domination oil. But that's just me :-)

You can if you want to. If you are working with Saint Martha to bring someone to you and love you then yes you can work with that. But you cannot use the same candle for perhaps dominating an enemy. You need to use a separate Saint Martha candle for that.

I want to start a St.Martha candle today but I keep hearing 2 different colors colors. Should I get a red or green candle? Which one is more effective?

@Karma we have discussed this question before. She answers some people with Green, and some with Red. I personally work with red and the lucky mojo candle is red as well. I would personally put both candles on your altar space and ask her to respond to which candle she would want to work with. Ask that she respond with a high flame with the candle along with perhaps flickering and popping. Just pay close attention you should know which one to work with.

I hope someone will read this and answer me. I bought a St. Martha candle and oil. I lit the candle Tuesday night and allowed it to burn all night, snuffing it out in the morning. I am doing a 9 Tuesdays novena to her. I offered her water with a splash of Florida water as I did not have coffee. However, last night as a thank you, brought her a red rose and a cup of coffee ( this would be Wednesday evening ) was this okay to give her thanks the following day despite not seeing any movement. I just want to work up to a relationship with her and hope that she will help me with my situation. Is it okay to let the novena candle burn each Tuesday night all night and snuff it out in the morning.

Hello all. I have tried working with Saint Martha before to dominate a guy and used a green candle. Can I use my prayer card with a Red candle to work with her or is green better for domination?

Hello,
I understand to burn St. Martha Candle for 9 Tuesdays in a row. My question is do I burn the candle on Tuesday then put it out until the next Tuesday or should I light a new candle every Tuesday? I just completed 9 weeks of burning one candle and I put it out on Wed. Morning and then relight it the following Tuesday. It did nothing to help me in my situation. I ask her to bring back my former boyfriend of 5 years who I do not see or speak to at all. He lives far away from me. Can someone help me with this?

Hi kyldy,

My heart goes out to you.

9 weeks? That's a long time. It is possible St. Martha doesn't want to work for this situation.
Have you dressed the candle with some dominating oils, herbs or powders?

Do you have any items of his that can be used in conjunction with the St. Martha spell?

I'd encourage you to seek advice on this from an AIRR member.

kyldy,

Did you leave any offerings for St. Martha or set up any special area for you in your home? This is an important part of the process in getting her to work on your behalf.

Best of luck!

I was just wondering...I had St. Martha before but chose to give her to a friend of mines...is that a bad thing? I'm trying to bring back my child's father that I believe an old lady used reconciliation on. He looks like a miserable ghost now. She even had him turn away from his child. Do you recommend anything? I just started the candle this Tuesday but I haven't gotten any pic or anything of St. Martha yet. I just talk to her. Please help

Hello, AEsGirl1 ,

It doesn't hurt to try and appeal to St Martha. But, I would vehemently apologize to her for giving away her statue and explaining why you did..

Seriously, when a Saint helps me, their statue is prominently displayed in my home permanently as my way of thanking them. But, that's just me.

You might want to consider obtaining another statue of her. Find one here: www.luckymojo.com/mojocatstatuary.html

As far as the other question, that's difficult to answer without a reading.

I suggest that you obtain one (to answer these questions) from one of these 2 websites:

http://readersandrootworkers.org
OR
www.hoodoopsychics.com

I pray that your child's Father regains his health.

Wishing you success with your petition

Thank u soooo much Miss Aida...I am proud to say that I begged St. Martha for forgiveness (I got a pic of her for the time being, due to funds), I started a honey jar & I did a 7 day red skull candle as well...I don't know what, but, as we were in court yesterday, he approached me & was oddly very, very sweet to me (he spoke to me in the corridor at the courthouse, while the old lady was in the waiting area). I even had the opportunity to show him a pic of his son. He looked at the pic & it seemed his heart dropped (yes, his son is a spitting image of him). I was very mad (because this was the first time of him ever seeing his now 9 mth old son...his FIRST & ONLY SON) but, I held it in & showed no sign of my anger. I won't stop there though! My reading tomorrow will tell me more details, but I will say..I have seen the "movement" that I have been reading about in the forums. I never knew I had it in me (LOL)...but, I won't stop there & with your help & encouragement, I KNOW I will get my man back!! Thanks again...ttyl

Hello,

I would like to know, is it ok to place two names up under this type of candle? Or should I use two separate candles? My intention is to get what I desire from both of them.

Thanks in advanced!

Hello, loving_me ,

2 people; 2 candles

However, I would personally work with one at a time.

St Martha may not take you seriously otherwise

take care

Hello,

I forgot to mention, I read that St Martha can be petitioned for break up work. If this is possible, how should she be petitioned and what color candle would be appropriate?

Thank you!

Hi loving_me,

I have not heard of St Martha being used for break-up work. Here is a link to Lucky Mojo's page on patron saints, where you can learn about which saints assist with which problems.

Good luck.

Good morning!

Soooooo I'm not sure if I've been doing this wrong or not... I have the red vigil light from LM with the white Saint Martha that says The Dominator.. I have a picture of my target and I under the candle, our names and dob crossed over each other and then on brown paper bag I have 9 goals I'd like to achieve with my target. First is miss me, second is contact me, third is friendship and so on until I get him to fully return... I been lighting the candle at 12:01 on Tuesday and letting it burn until 6am, sometimes 8am.. Then snuffing it out.. Is that correct or was I supposed to let that candle burn all the way down and then light red candles dressed in her oil & dedicated to her every Tuesday for the next 8 weeks? I have been talking to her throughout the days and I left her a piece of milk chocolate last night.. I've made promises to buy her statue once finances allow it & Ive seen significant movement.. I've offered her white and pink flowers before & some Cuban bread & black coffee.. I've gotten a few signs here and there that she's listening but I'm concerned I did the candle wrong. Do we snuff it out and use it over 9 Tuesdays or light it once then light other red candles the remaining Tuesdays?

Thank you. Sorry for my confusion!

I had posted a detailed post earlier this morning but decided to spare everyone and delete it.. I do have a question though, I was wondering if I was doing this correctly... Is one LM Saint Martha Dominator candle supposed to last the span of 9 Tuesdays. Meaning, do I snuff it out every Tuesday and relight it the following Tuesday? I've been re-lighting mine at 12:01 Tuesday morning's and leaving it until 6 or 8am.. Thank you!

Hi JAD82017,

Yes, that is the correct way to use the candle. If you burn it for only a short while each Tuesday, it will last the nine weeks.

Good luck.

Hi

I was wondering how many requests or situations can Santa Marta address for one candle.

Example: I would like to bring my love back, but I also need have things removed from us and I would like her to bring self love and take away his codependency ways?.

Would I able do one candle or should get another one?
