Any ideas? I have remains that I'd like to bury in a graveyard.

However, I'm in Wisconsin in the middle of winter where it will be a high of like 3 degrees this weekend.

Now, if this were my yard - I might be able to use something to warm up enough dirt to bury it or use a potted plant. But, that would be difficult considering the graveyard I'd go to is several miles away.

Has anyone overcome this issue in the past? How did you manage to dig in to frozen ground? Just collecting footprint dirt was nearly impossible and required some pretty creative thinking on my part... I'm at a loss for how to get into that ground without renting a backhoe :)

I recently buried/deployed some candle remains in my front yard for attracting love. Unfortunately later on my mother saw my footprints in the grass and threw water mixed with ammonia out across the general area of where I buried my stuff. Water/ammonia mix is usually used in the Caribbean for washing away evil. Will it have any effect on the workings of my spell?

Yes, it probably deactivated the spell.

Sorry!

Not sure why this never occurred to me but.. is a spell considered "incomplete" until the materials are disposed of properly?

Hi Jenny,

That only depends on the spell.

Good luck.

Thanks CaptainConjure.

I've disposed of Block Buster remains properly. Other than that, I've actually been waiting for the cold weather to pass in order to bury wax near my front door. :?

Hi Jenny,

If you have a potted plant by your front door, you can bury it there. Many people that live in apartments do that.

Hello, Jenny Shan,

I consider the spells to be incomplete until they are properly "Deployed".

The term "disposed" is not the same as deployment.

I hope this helps

Hello,

I read on here that I can put the Blockbuster glass-encased candle in the recycling bin, and my candle burned all the way down before it went out but there are the Blockbuster herbs at the bottom of the candle so can I wash the candle before putting it in a recycling bin?

Thank You.

Hello again,

but first I can take out the remaining blockbuster herbs at the bottom of my candle and bury them in an indoor plant??? then I will wash it and bring it over to recycling.

Just wanted to let you know I think this is a great spell. I will have to order another candle so that I can use it again one day. :D

Thank You very much for your help!

Maybe a silly question?
Hello everyone,
I have what may sound like a stupid question, I apologize in advance. I happen to live in the northeast, Massachusetts, the ground freezes here most of the winter months, although we have been lucky this year, warmer. Anyway, my question is, will the frozen ground effect deployed work? I did some work and buried it, backyard and front yard, different work. This was before the winter, I was curious, does the ground "freeze" my work? I am leaning towards, no, because the work is already working, or deployed. However, I thought I should ask. Would it be better in the future, to bury in a living plant, that I could keep healthy year round, meaning the plant healthy, considering my location? Or does the work continue on, despite the frozen ground?
Am I over thinking the freeze?
Thank you for your patience, and help!
Many, many, blessings,
Mel

Hello, mel2424,

Yes, you are overthinking it.

Once you deploy a spell, walk away and completely forget about it.

Don't worry! Be happy!

I just wanted to ask if I would be allowed to keep the petition that I created to use with the Blockbuster candle work. (I put a lot of detail in the artwork that I drew).

Thank you.

Hello everyone

Few questions: reading the laying tricks. I want to do away with my vinegar jar take break from him. So I can put it at any graveyard?
Because the house is between two others and that would difficult

Next: do I make sulphur red pepper and salt put in jar and spread it around the graveyard while burying the jar? Or do I bury that in a jar too? -confused

Do I say my curse? While burying or certain prayer

Will it keep working at graveyard? I will create another one later

Honey jar can I bury in my front yard to continue to work? Or off my property?

Hi Letsdoit2015,

You can choose any graveyard. Walk through it asking for spirits to come forward if they are willing to help you, and you should be led to a grave that way. It takes some patience but I have had great success with this.

You don't need to do anything more than bury the jar and pay the spirit (three dimes and some whiskey is traditional). You can say your curse if you wish, and ask the spirit of the grave to hold this man down for you.

Yes, you can bury your honey jar in your front yard to draw that person to you.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

I would also include that petition paper with deployment.

Otherwise, it's not complete.

I know that you put a lot of work into it. But, we should be following Miss cat's directions to the letter

Or do i leave it sitting there or pour the whiskey out?

Hi Letsdoit2015,

You can bury the dimes or leave them there at the grave. I personally don't ever pour my Whiskey out. I always leave it in a shot glass or leave the open bottle. But Miss cat pours hers out, as often as not, as this is the old, traditional, African and even classical European way.

Best of Luck,

Hello Miss Aida,

Thank You for your reply!

So should I burn the petition paper because my candle is finished or should I just lay it in my candle when I bring it to the recycling? (blockbuster) Or should I burn the petition with the incense??

Thanks.

Hello, Lovemydogs ,

I personally LOVE burning petitions with incense outside.

What I do (whether it's self lightning incense or not) is this:

I light a charcoal disc, put my petition paper over it, and put the incense over the petition paper. Again, I do this outside

I hope this will help

Hello. recently i began a seven day candle love spell. I know that generally when the candles have melted you bury the left over wax and remains in your yard or potted plant. That is how I have generally done them in the past. However for the next few weeks I am in a condo without a balcony. So my question is rather there are other suitable ways to dispose of the wax in a love spell.

Hello Miss Aida,

So I tried what you suggested. I lighted some incense which was sitting on top of my petition (because I had to do this inside due to a snow storm that we are having) the incense burned but not all the way. So does it matter that the incense didn't burn all the way and that the petition is not completely burned?

Thank You.

Hello, Lovemydogs,

Yes, unfortunately it DOES matter

Did you light the charcoal and let it get red hot before putting the petition paper n it?

Did you also light the incense from the top and let it burn down?

I've never had a failure with this. So, something was done incorrectly

Sorry!

I want to order this right now but I wanted to let you know as I have been burning the incense with the petition sitting on top of it for the past few days & it has burned through the petition one quarter of the way, so will the charcoal still be necessary? I don't understand why it's talking days to burn a paper. It must be massively huge!

My petition papers take minutes to burn this way.

So, my answer to you is to do what you feel is the right thing to do.

Hello,

Once you disposed everything by burying it in the graveyard and talking to spirits is there anything else I need to do?
Do I go back and visit that graveyard? Or just allow the spirits to work?

Thanks

No, do not go back. Once you deploy a spell, entrust it to Spirit and walk away.

Hi Letsdoit2015,

That is excellent. I'm very glad you're getting signs and not stressing too badly.

We always advise people to "set it and forget it" when it comes to spell work. It shows confidence and trust, and these are positive energies for achieving your desired results. By going back to the site of deployment, you are insinuating a lack of faith and this is the easiest way to undermine your own success.

Good luck!

I would like to add that i personally do not "set it and forget it."

Also, i fear that some folks are confusing DISPOSAL and DEPLOYMENT. Remember, DISPOSAL is for remains (old wax, ashes, etc.), which is what this thread is about, and there is DEPLOYMENT of work (which is NOT what this thread is about).

To DEPLOY work is to place it where it will be stepped over, touched, smelled, or otherwise brought into CONTACT with the person i am working on or will be CONVEYED to that person (e.g. by Ants or by the wind). Disposal is for remains -- DEPLOYMENT is the major way of effecting contact and thus bringing about change in folk magic.

This "set it and forget it" thing -- and the conflation of disposal with deployment -- has NEVER been my way of working. Lots of folks say those words, but i actually was never taught them by any of the older African American practitioners i learned from. In fact i was usually taught to do either DEPLOYED work or ONGOING WORK.

To be VERY clear, i was taught by several people to work morning and night for days at a time, fifteen minutes per day, six at morning and six at night or nine at morning and nine at night, or at sunrise and sunset when engaged in long, onfgoing work. I was taught by others to work in runs, one attendance upon the work per day (or night) or to do the work every other day, or to do it for two weeks while the moon grows (or shrkinks) then "lay off" for two weeks, then go back to the work for two weeks. If work was to be deployed, i did so. I rarely was taught to work merely on an altar, as a microcosm, like so many folks now try to do. And there is NO ONE WAY that works for each spell -- these are the timing instructions for many different spells.

I was taught how to END the work, too -- to work it for a specified number of days -- whatever that spell called for -- in runs or sequences, and then to STOP. But to STOP is not to "forget it."

So, count me as one who has been working this was for 50 years and has never once said to myself or to any of my students, "set it and forget it" -- and, truly, that phrase makes no sense to me.

So there you have another country heard from.

I actually buried it at the cemetery so I didn't know what I needed to do next since I'm learning. I keep doing the rest room with name on brown bag (etc.. Want go into details on that) lol
So I didn't know if I needed to start another vinegar jar or just light candles and continue to talk to spirits.

Thank you!

Hello, Letsdoit2015

Why not do both? It can't hurt!!

But please never go back and dig something up at the cemetery (I know that you didn't say that but just wanted to make sure)

Although I am not sure what your spell was for, but for bathroom spells, try this link:

break-up-spell-in-toilet-using-feces-qu ... 21481.html

And, just for the record, I have also never heard of: "Set it and Forget it". It's not part of Hoodoo, Santeria, or Palo teachings..

Wishing you Great success!!

Thank you Miss Aida
I was doing a break up spell.. I have a friend who is being manipulated and played on their vulnerability by someone. Used and all that.
So I'm trying to separate them.

I did the vinegar jar and wanted to take a break so I buried it at cemetery and now that I'm feel good and clear I can refocus now. So didn't know what else to do to keep working on them with the spirits doing their work also.

No i didn't go back to cemetery.
Thanks for the link and information.

Hello everyone,

I have some questions relating to the deployment and disposal of ritual remains at crossroads and would greatly appreciate your feedback and help. There are three, so thank you for bearing with me and reading through.

First, I want to thank Miss Cat very much for her clear and definitive explanation of the difference between disposal and deployment of spells. I had been reading up on this quite a bit but was still confusing one for the other. So thank you! (I believe she did this in a reply to someone in this thread in late February).

Now to my questions:

1) when wishing to bury work at a crossroads, does this have to be right in the centre where the two roads meet, or can I dig a hole at one of the corners of that X? I ask this because there's usually a grassy patch at the outer corners of crossroads in my city while the very centre is paved as is the case in most cities.

2) I've been disposing of simple candle spell remains at waste receptacles placed at busy crossroads (as once recommended by a much-loved and respected conjure doctor who has now passed on). Before leaving the house with the remains, I'd say a prayer and call out to the spirits of the crossroads, name the location and thank them for taking up and honouring my work and intention. This is just so I don’t attract attention to myself when at the crossroads - sometimes I’d pretend I’m on the phone with someone and say my prayer then and there.
My question here is: would this method of disposal and/or deployment suffice for 'heavier' work such as box or jar spells (which usually call for burial)?

3) can candle remains and ashes be deployed by throwing over one's left shoulder at a paved crossroads?
I realize a dirt crossroad is the ideal scenario, but hard to come by in urban areas. I’m thinking deployment will still take place as the remains will be scattered by the wind and driven cars.

Thank you so much for taking the time.
Blessings,
malamo

Hello, Malamo,

To answer your first question, the center of the crossroad.

Miss cat explains everything you have asked in great detail here: www.luckymojo.com/layingtricks.html#crossroads

I don't know if I would put big boxes at a crossroad, though..

After reading this page, if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask

Take care

Ok I just got confused. I wanted to get rid of my vinegar jar I just did to start over. So I broke it on the railroad tracks where the person crosses over.

Was I not suppose to break it? Because I needed to start over because I left somethings out.

Hello Letsdoit2015,

IF\f you broke your vinegar jar you you basically stopped that working. If the jar was not done properly to begin with and you were not planning on using it breaking it was not really a bad thing to do. You could have been a little less extreme and just opened the jar up and maybe put the contents in a hole in the ground somewhere off your property, perhaps by a big tree or some other place out of the way. You could have even washed out the jar to use again since it was not made properly to start with.

So in short you did not do anything wrong by breaking it, but not breaking it would not have been wrong either as you can just empty it as well. Good luck with your new vinegar jar!

Peace~

Thanks Nathen

I wasn't sure because I wouldn't had time to bury it on the person property so I just broke it on railroad tracks where they cross at.
I wanted to start over because I thought it wasn't good.
I didn't know if I could pour the contents in their yard since the houses are close to another I couldn't bury.

But I can always jog an pour it out. But didn't know if that works or not.

So I started over and good with this one.

I used to bury my ritual remains in my potted plants by the windows. I can't keep plants in the new room I moved to but there's a piece of wood placed at the threshold of my room and I can squeeze folded up remains under it. Would that count like burying under my front door?

Innocence --

Yes, interring items under a threshold is the same as burial in earth at the front door.

Hello All,

I have some questions. I've been working love candles on my boyfriend but when I'm done I usually throw them in the dumpster just bc I'm usually trying to hide them from my boyfriend. So Tuesday I through some love candles in the trash and Saturday we had a fight and now he not taking my calls. I'm just asking because everything was great before then.

1) Do you think the way I disposed of the candles had anything to do with it?

2) If that's the case what can I do to fix it?
