How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I am going to work the Lavender Love Triple Strength Mojo (with Mojo bag). The instructions say to use a red offertory candle. What size is this candle? 4" or 6"? .

It could be any convenient size. It would not be a glass-encased vigil light, though.

Inquiring mind would like to know: can I burn multiple candles for different conditions simultaneously? I want to do a Cut and Clear spell (to get rid of bad habits) while also doing to spell to bolster self confidence.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Thank you miss cat I do in fact have the book but I'm goig to reread it again cause I think I have missed some things in there. As of right now I have 2 candle altars, one for my ancestors and another for saints and angels. I think that I'm going to purchase another table to act as an altar for positive works.
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I am in the middle of burning an encased Santisima Muerte candle. I have to leave tomorrow and I'm wondering if I should
A. Leave it to burn at home with the person who the work is for.
B. Snuff it out and re light it when I get home -- but it's too far down now to snuff it out with my fingers and I don't have a metal snuffer.
Please help

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Dear pixidust,
It is always best to let a glass encased candle burn straight through -- but if that is not appropriate for your situation, then you can use use a long knife, knitting needle, or stick to push the wick into the melted wax and "drown" it -- but you will have trouble digging it out and relighting it later.
Alternatively, you can deprive it of oxygen and "starve it out" by setting a metal jar lid on it tightly -- but it will smoke and make soot and ruin the reading of the glass.
It seems to me you are not yet habituated to the kinds of tools and utensils you will need if you are to continue in this work.
You wlll want a snuffer, for sure. You will want a metal pan filled with sand so you can burn candles safely while you are out of the home. You really need a copy of my book "The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic." In it is a complete list of tools and technqiues for really doing this work right.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I apologize if this is in the wrong thread or if this has been answered prayer I am on my way to work and really anxious about getting an answer so I have not had time to search but I started a skull candle spell a few weeks ago when I was first learning about how to do them now I did not know about timing and having to do it every day and it's been a while like I said so I'm not sure if I ever blew it out like when I was first learning about the do's and don'ts of candles so I'm scared I messed it up and I still have the majority of the candle to burn. The question is, do I finish burning the candle or do I bury it and start again?
To all the saints and angels thanks for intercession

Hello, Shutter,
Blowing out a candle signals that the work is done and ends the spell. I'm sorry, but you will need to start again. You could try redressing and relighting the candle till it burns down and watch for signs/movement, but if none are forthcoming, you may need to purchase a new candle and start over.

Thanks! I'm aware of what it inducates and as I made LeBron I am not sure if I did. I may light it to blow it out and let it know thank you. I just didn't want to do any harm by unfinished work if I HADN'T blown it out. Thanks guys!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I have several six inch offertory candles that have been in storage with other colors for a few years. It's become difficult to tell the difference between the white and yellow, and all of those have splotches and streaks of green and red and some muddy brown color in them. Are there any good uses for such muddled candles aside from melting/re-pouring or mundane work light? There are only a few of them, but I'd hate to waste any.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
I would go ahead and use them, but in the future, please learn how to wrap candles in a blessed paper or cloth to preserve them for future use as explained in the classic 1936 book "Legends of Incense, Herb, and Oil Magic" -- which we have reprinted to make available its old-school conjure knowledge to the current generation.

Excellent. Thank you!
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Does using a fixed and dressed glass encased candle have the same effect as a Spell Kit? For example, will theCrossing Vigil Candle have the same effect as the Crossing Spell Kit? Would the Lavender Love Vigil Candlehave the same effect as the Spell Kit, and so forth?
The issue here is my partner is moving into my house, and he doesn't know I practice hoodoo. While I try to figure out how to operate a full Spell Kit under secrecy I was hoping I could at least still run Vigil Candles that are dressed. Please advise. M
Thank you,
RK

Hello Canon2099,
I think a white seven-day knob candle dressed with Uncrossing oil and burned over a petition paper asking for your dad's deliverance would be a powerful start to breaking this woman's hold on him. You can read more about how to burn that kind of candle here:
http://www.luckymojo.com/sevenknobsevendaycandle.html
http://www.luckymojo.com/uncrossing.html
You can read more about Uncrossing oil here:
uncrossing-oil-questions-and-answers-t10181.html
I'd also recommend getting a reading on the situation, to learn the extent of this woman's deeds and how to counter them. You can find reputable readers here:
http://www.hoodoopsychics.com/

Good luck.

Is it permissible to remove the label from any dressed, glass encased candles I purchase (i.e.: Lavender Love, Fiery Wall, Follow Me Boy, or any dressed Vigil Candle at all) in order to be discreet? Please advise.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello everyone, so I know that when finished with a candle you can bury it in your backyard. Well... what happens if you live in an apartment and have neither a front yard nor back yard? Also I would like to be discreet when disposing of remains. There are a lot of people around and dogs and children all the time.
Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello, blueeyes14 ,
Backyard or front yard depends on the type of spell
You can bury in a flower pot, and here are other ways of deployment or disposal:

I was wondering if I have any type of candles that haven't been lit or anything but there old but still magical is there a way I can dispose of them besides burying them? I live in a city so its hard without people seeing me.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello deladelasol77,
You could try waiting until the candle cools down and hardens again then use a chopstick to dig out some of the extra wax around the wick and see if that helps. If there is so much oil that it's a puddle, you could try twisting up a paper towel so you can put down into the vigil light and soak up some of the oil. It also would be a good idea for you to read Miss Cat's helpful book "The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic in Rootwork, Conjure and Spiritual Church Services.

How long generally do the fixed LM jar candles take to burn out? I know it's best to let them do one long burn, but I need to plan around time.

If someone is not interested in reading the wax remains of a jar or skull candle, would it be acceptable to pour out the wax in the 'well' of the candle or have it dry on the walls of the jar when it needs to be pinched out so that it can more easily burn down to the end of the wick?

Hello Shutter,
You can do that. Some practitioners will manipulate how the candle is burning in general to guarantee a good burn. I personally do not do a whole lot of manipulation to my figural candles unless they just are not burning at all but everyone's mileage may vary on this.
Peace~

Thank you for the peace of mind. I was hoping to hear anything other than that I would be ruining the entire work by doing so.

There is a whole lesson on working with -- rather than reading -- candles in my book "The Art of Hoodoo Candle Magic" and the book answers many more questions as well. I am not trying to push the book on you, but for $9.00, it contains a wealth of instructions and tips. You might like it!

I have your book, Miss Cat! It's been a while since I gave it a read though so perhaps I should brush up (if you only knew whatever customer number I am you'd know I get all my materials and books from you guys hahaha). I'm getting some professional rootwork done in a bit more than a week and the worker requested that I finish what I was working before we started the work that needed to happen next for my particular situation, blah blah long story short, I will need to reread in the midst of all the workings going on in my life right now! Thank you for the positive informative response

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Does Lucky Mojo sell (or, can anyone direct me to where) I can get a candle holder that will hold small, menorah/Hanukah candles? Per many episodes of the Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Hour, I have bought a number of these candles to use and I love them. Currently, I place sand in a dish and stick the candle down in it. However, I really want a candle holder that is the appropriate size, without purchasing and (inappropriately!) using a menorah. Can anyone help?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello bloomandbone,
I believe the small, brass star-stamped candle holders that Lucky Mojo sells to fit its 4-inch altar candles would work for those. I actually just went and tested this on one of my own candle holders; you can squish together the prongs (probably not the right word) that hold the candle to fit a candle that's quite small.
You can find them here:
http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocattools.html#holders
Get the smaller size; it's 3/4 inch tall. You can also hold a match to the bottom of the candle to melt it a tiny bit so it will stick to the holder.
Hope that helps!

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hi all,
I had a reading yesterday with a rootworker and she suggested I do some candle work to help someone find courage and decrease their fear. I've done a lot of reading so far on writing a petition on paper but haven't seen anything about writing one on a candle and how to go about it. I'm not sure what info is needed or how to do it. Or would it be just a effective to write it on a piece of paper. If so, since it's for someone else do I still cross their name with mine? Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thanks !!!

Hello, decogirl73 ,
On a taper candle, uou could inscribe, in a spiral fashion from bottom to top (without any breaks in your cursing writing):
couragecouragecouragecouragecouragecouragecouragecouragecourage
(that would be Courage written 9 times)
Then, on a petition paper, you would write his name 9 times and cross it with Courage to Commit to _____ (<---your name)
Wishing you the best
take care

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello Everyone
Planning a money spell and wanted a Wealthy Way Vigil Candle, Fixed.
There isn't one specifically for Wealthy Way but a Plain Glass Vigil, Fixed will be fine.
Would the Plain Gold/Green be appropriate?
Or Plain Green?
Thanks

Hello LDB1957,
I think that's a great idea to have the shop fix a plain vigil candle with the Wealthy Way oil. Green or green/gold would be good, whichever you prefer.
Good luck.

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello,
I am new here, have searched the forum, but cannot find the information I need.
I am trying to save my child from an abusive, narcissistic, possibly sociopath ex-husband. I have tried everything imaginable, but it's at the point where praying for the best, without doing works, is getting me nowhere.
With that said, I'd like to dress a large candle with my ex's name, as well as judge, others involved in the case on 1 candle, rather than burning 7 candles.
Is this possible?
Thank you in advance

Hello MoreTisha,
I have merged your post into the thread on general candle questions. If you can please refrain from starting new topics as this makes it difficult for the moderators to keep the forums organized and difficult for other members to find the information they are looking for.
for how many names to carve on a candle ultimately you can carve as many as you can fit on the candle. Though from reading your post I personally would recommend a fiery wall of protection spell kit. (http://www.luckymojo.com/fierywallofprotection.html)
Peace~

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hi,
I just received my order from Lucky Mojo, and it was very tightly packed in the box, which is fine. Except, at least one of my candles had a crack around the width. it's only held together by the wick because the crack is all the way through. I'm assuming LM wouldn't pack a candle with this kind of crack.
I would like to know if I should still use the candle, or if the crack is interpreted as some sort of sign, and if so, a negative one?
Thanks

Re: How to Use Lucky Mojo Candles and Vigil Lights Questions and Answers
Hello Kabirdas,
You might give the shop a call and see if they will replace the candle. I personally tend to see things like this as signs of some sort of resistance or at the least that I have my work cut out for me. I would melt the wax down and make a new candle out of it myself.
Peace~

Hello Everyone
Just burned a Jinx Killer Glass Vigil Candle.
Good burn. very little wax left and only a little smoking at the top.
Very pleased.
I was wondering about the glitter added to the candle.
It looks pretty, but does it have any traditional, functional purpose?
