Hi,

Does anyone have any good advice or prayers that i can use to invoke the help of a saint(s) in conjunction with my candle magick and honey jar spell please?

I am currently part way through a 9 day spell to reconcille return my ex partner to me and I've heard praying for the help of Saints can be a big help, however when I am searching the internet for prayers, Im coming up a bit stuck.

Because in the Catholic Church a great emphasis has been paid to celibacy as a condition associated with sanctity, the list of saints associated with sexuality, romance, love, and marriage is indeed lacking. Here are some choices:

* Saint Joseph for a happy family and home

* The Holy Family (Jesus, Mary, and Joseph) for a unified and tender home life

* Saint Anthony for the return of missing things and missing people

There are others, but those -- especially Saint Anthony -- are the ones i hear from most often when a person is working for the return of a former lover.

I have been harassed and assaulted by my spirit guides and want to get rid of them as they are disagreeable (and trash in my eyes) and wouldn't leave, plus everyday is a fight. What should be done to get rid of them PERIOD and to block any spirit from connecting to me ever again.

Dear lil_ny007 --

The situation you describe sounds unusual to me, in a spiritual sense. These entities sound more like unclean spirits than like spirit guides. I am replying to you in the "Deities, Angels, Spirits, Saints" thread, because that is where you posted, but these spirits sound more like troubling spirits than like guiding angels.

In the case of unclean spirits who are unsettling a person in the form of negative voices, which may be the case, since you describe them as "disagreeable" and state that "everyday is a fight," i would do TWO things: Call upon Jesus, who cast unclean spirits out of his followers and is well regarded in this task, and also make an appointment with a psychologist or psychiatrist to receive testing for schizophrenia or other forms of thought disorder that cause the phenomenon known as auditory hallucinations.In other words, get both a medical determination of the cause and treatment of the phenomenon, which may be a form of mental illness and not a spirit infestation, and at the same time undertake a well-known spiritual remedy.

I know it is related to my so called spirit guide (who I don't like) as they state they won't leave until I do as they want (It will never happen ever). Other people have also told me the same too and they are strangers that don't know me.

Hello lil_ny007,

As Miss Cat mentioned these "so-called" spirit guides do not sound like guides at all but some kind of troublesome entity. I would second Miss Cat's recommendation to seek a qualified mental health provider to rule out any possible mental disorder and make prayers to Jesus to cast out these spirits.

After some extensive searching I hope this is the best area to post my question.

Is it safe to cast spells and summon spirits with small children in the home (while sleeping).

If it is safe, are there any rituals or protection procedures that should be done prior to and or after I have done so.

My worry is that the spirits my approach the children and other motherly worries.

This is a good question, and the right place to ask it. My reply is that unless the spirits are ancestors or good spirits, i would not do this while the children were sleeping in the house. If it was imperative to do so, i would first summon a helpful and protective ancestor to watch on the children during your work -- a sort of "baby-sitter spirit," as it were -- and i would pay that spirit for the work done, as arranged with the spirit.

Hey, Miss Cat!

When doing the above described procedure, could you give some suggestions on how one may extend the influence of the protective ancestral to the house? Will merely lighting a candle in the ancestor altar do? I have the feeling that one would suggest something physical to go along with that deal, something to be used directly into the house. Could I take some dirt from their grave, mix it with salt and sulphur and place it at the four courners of the children's bedrooms, for instance?

In hindsight, and looking at into what you taught me in this very thread, I have clearly changed my tune when it comes to mixing graveyard dirt with salt

and also a great lesson on how to understand folk magic. It was very enlightening, I spent a long time ruminating over each comment.

But I notice you say "pay the spirit afterwards", so I'm guessing you didn't mean that bit with the graveyard dirt, since it is suppose to be paid in advance. Please let me know what your further suggestions would be, then.

Hello everyone.

I don't know if there was something inherently wrong with my previous question or if it was the way I put it. Either way, I might as well try to rephrase it. i'll apologise if there was any faux pas to it.

I would like to put my home under the protection of a particularly strong ancestor. This turns out to be precisely what MIss Cat suggested in her latest repply to this thread, to a different inquirer. I would please like to know just how to accomplish that. Would it be fitting to take dirt from my ancestor's grave, mix it with salt and sulphur (as it is seen recurrently as a protection mix, even being something Miss Catherine and I have discussed in this very thread, months ago) and place it in the four courners of my home, or in the four courners of a particularly important room?

If not, please enlighten me, what should I do to extend the protection of my ancestor physically, to my home? I mean, I do have an ancestor altar. I might have got it wrong, but that doesn't seem to be exactly what was implied here.

Please let me know. This is quite important for me.

P.S.: I have misinterpreted Miss Cat when she said "payment as arranged with the spirit". For some reason I was under the impression that she meant to say "afterwards", but that wasn't necessarily implied. Oh, and I hope I haven't been too much of a burden asking this many questions. It's just that I don't always have the time to post here in the forum, so my questions tend to pile up. And I suppose I could be more succinct. But I deeply appreciate this forum for repplying to my questions with such generosity, and - as invited by Miss Cat on facebook - as a practitioner, I try to answer questions to the best of my ability, and at least as many as I ask.

Nothings wrong with your question I don't think. Miss Cat and some of the other mods are pretty busy sometimes. Perhaps I can shed a little light in the meantime!

I don't see anything wrong with what you described above (dirt/salt/sulpher mix) or how you plan to use it.

As far as payment for the spirit, I personally would pay for the dirt when I collect it, speak to them about my situation (need for protection, etc), and offer them something once the danger had passed, perhaps their favorite meal, or a particular "vice" they had that they can't enjoy now. If this is something that you plan to have on-going for a long period of time, if this particular ancestor isn't on your alter, you can offer them a permanent place of honor there as payment, or a candle in their honor ever day the protection is needed (if its something very dangerous) or perhaps weekly light setting for less serious situations.

Miss Cat said essentially the same when she mentioned "payment as arranged with the spirit"

Hello everyone,

I hope this is the right post. If not, I appreciate if I can be redirected and I will post in the correct one.

On Friday, 15th of June, I did a love spell and petitioned to St Anthony(SA). I had written down a long list (19 items) of the qualities I was looking for. I said to St Anthony I had "lost" my husband and have been looking for him for the last 10 year and to help me find him (SA has always come through when finding lost things). That same night I started, very diligently, using a couple of dating apps.

The next day I matched with a guy and we started chatting. That same day, when I was burning the last bit of the candle, the flame was strong, very tall, white, yellow, orange and red and had some beautiful curves!!! I was very happy with it.

This particular guy and I seemed to have quite a bit of very uncommon things in common so of course we had to meet! Even with this, I wasn't expecting what happened. Finding more about him was mind blowing because what SA did was showing my true heart's desire.

Two days later, I found a way shorter list (8 items) I have written late last year or earlier this one and that I have forgotten about. I know it was around that time because I titled it "2018 man". This short list represents what my heart has been looking for, unlike the long list which was written from my head and SA, as the wise man he is, showed my what HE knows I really want.

Needles to say, the guy I met matched every single one of the things on that list...except...he is not looking for a relationship.

And this is where my problem starts. I have never heard of SA being cruel (like St Expedite who may take things away from you), but I do feel he is being a little mean by tempting me with the "perfect" man but not allowing for a relationship.

It's like offering chocolates, ice cream, cakes and sweets to a diabetic when YOU know they can't have it!

I appreciate he may be showing me the way but being he is so nice, he could have chosen other type of sign (like finding the short list), instead of tempting me and then leaving my high and dry?

1. Why would he do such thing?

2. What could I do for SA to rectify this? I asked him last nigh what he wanted me to do.

Ideally I don't want to do any spell on the guy because he may not be the one but another one who also ticks all the boxes so I would prefer to deal with SA to solve this issue.

Hello, I went through a lot of pages on this forum but need a little more guidance.

I am looking for a saint (or two) to pray to for relationship reconciliation / returning to me.

I've done some research on:

St. Helen
St. Barbarba
St. Anthony
St. Jude ( saint of helping impossible cases)

From what I gathered St. Helen is usually prayed to more for returning a lover?

Can someone please give me more guidance?

For your questions

1. Why would he (Saint Anthony) do such thing?

Based on what you wrote above on your situation, I feel strongly that Saint Anthony did not do this on purpose to be cruel to you, or just for kicks. No. He did help find the kind of guy you are looking for. Just because this guy said he is not looking for a relationship does not mean game over. Invite this guy out to events or to spend time together and start building a connection, a foundation, and see what develops. I know you said you didn't want to do work on this perticular guy, but I will suggest a thread called Spells to Gently Turn Friend or Co-Worker Toward Loving . Don't give up all hope.

2. What could I do for SA to rectify this? I asked him last nigh what he wanted me to do.

You can light a candle as a 'thank you, but no thank you'. Thank the saint for helping you find someone with the qualities you are looking for but need someone to be open to having a relationship. Ask him to help you again find another man with similar qualities AND open to developing a relationship or to help you find healthy ways to develop a relationship with the guy he helped you find.

I am DannyN and I live in West Africa.

I have been reading a lot abot Laws of Attraction, Awareness, HooDoo, Wicca and general spirituality, and I love what I have seen so far.

I recently stopped attending Church because I had a bad experience with my pastor (a story for another day).

I recently knew about St Expedite when I needed money urgently to pay my rents. I petitioned him and he seem to have worked alnost instantly; though I have not received the money, but the person that promised to give it to me seems serious and is one that would have told me out-rightly that he wouldnt, that is if he doesnt want to.

I and my brothers are 101% sure some one or people have crossed or hexed or Jinxed my entire family:

Our first son is lost in the USA since he travelled for studies. We found him via internet some 10 years ago, but after the news went round my village, he lost again.

Then non of us the 5 sons here is doing well, no matter our intelligence. When we are lucky to get some money, we misuse it again.

Our wives cant get a job or when they do, the company shuts down, or the govt official they work under gets fired.

SPIRITUAL BATH:

Thanks for your response. I appreciate.
About delivery, dont bother about that. Here in my country, there are many 3rd party logistics companies based in USA/Europe/China that we use to order things from abroad. We place the order with their name and warehouse address, then pay, sellers ship to them within USA and they ship to us within 2-5 days.

While replying, just forget about the delivery problem, I have that sorted. Just focus on solutions to assisting me solve my problems.

We use sachet powders to dust the body, to blow into the air, to mix with dirt and lay down something for people to step into r step over, and to dust paperwork without leaving a stain. Hello all,
This thread is rather very long (and sorry to say, I have many things to research here).
I have worked with Saint Expedite and he worked almost instantly. One thing I know is that there are specifics you have to do: Table cloth colour is red (his colour); The alter was set up in a triangle format - his image at the back, Glass with candle on the front/left (with petition paper under the glass)and Glass of water on Front/Right.

Can experienced persons please share specifics like:
1. What are his colour(s)
2. What will be on alter table?
3. Is there a specific way to place the items on the alter?
4. Do you thank him before or after he has come through to you? As i know, you only thank St Expedite with red flower and poundcake and coins on the cake when he comes through.
5. If flowers are needed on the table while praying/thanking him, CAN I USE PLASTIC FLOWERS or it must be fresh live flowers?
6. Can I get a sample Petition (is it needed?)
7. How to pray for him - Novena or normal prayer? If normal, how many days?

Hi there,

I am new to the website and I am trying to post a question but have no idea how to create a new topic. Please feel free to move my question to the right area.

I have been working with Santa Marta la Dominadora twice, and doing the Novena every Tuesday with a green candle and offerings and I know she always works for me. This second time that I have been doing the Novena it’s been a while and I still light up her candle to honour her every Tuesday though the Novena is over its been months now. I lift up the candle and there is my ex’s photo under it and I was shocked to see that one of her eyes in the photo is closed. It was a photo of her smiling with both eyes open and one of her eyes is closed.

Please can anyone help me with this? What can this mean? I know it sounds crazy but it really is that way and I couldnt believe it. Is she winking at me? Is it a sign that I should let this go to sleep?

4. Its usually said that you give your promised thanks once he comes through for you. Basically whatever you promise him, make sure he gets it when you said you'd give it.

5. If you choose to use flowers, then I would use real flowers vs fake. If for no other reason than to know when they need changed, as nothing lasts forever (when they wilt, for instance).

Some of the answers remain the same - 2,3,5,7, and 8.

1. Looking at the colors the saint wears is a fairly easy way to tell the saints color. In this case probably brown, or blue and yellow. For more information on St. Anthony see this page - http://www.luckymojo.com/saintanthony.html

4. This answer is practically the same as well. See the above link and the heading "GIVING THANKS TO SAINT ANTHONY"

6. I'm sure he would be happy to receive any flower, or as you said, such flowers with colors attributed to him, but a think a Lily would be a great offering, should you have it. Reading the link from 1. and seeing his image may help you understand why. Though I wouldn't say a flower is entirely necessary if you don't have it, but a nice touch if you do.

8. Also in the link in 1. there are a handful of prayers that can be used.

Hello all,
I am into real estate business and i need something to help push the business.
I am aware of St Anthony used in selling real estate.

I am looking for something different: Something to help the business generally - Convince property owners to chose me as sole letting/sales agent; When letting clients approach me and i show them properties i have for letting, they wont hesitate to take it.

As one option, I was advised to work with St Joseph the worker and Our Lady of Loreto.

Hi everyone,
I have a question about the spirit in the Green Devil Money Spell, this isn't about the spell itself...

I have a need to do this spell for someone but have always been concerned about using the so called "trickster" spirits. I have always believed that indeed, they will grant your wish but in return, take something from you.

I have read the LM page on the spell and spirit and it is my understanding that he is a trickster. Is there any precautions I should take with invoking this spirit or is there a way to offer payment? You have identified the risk in that and many similar spells. Working with less-than-noble spirits always carries the possibility that the spirit will turn on you. It takes both bravery -- and foolhardiness -- to call upon a devil to help you win your money back. For some the risk is worth it, for others it is not. I know of no old, traditional way to insulate yourself against a tricksy spirit, beyond calling upon the Most High to remove it. I guess i am a bit of a risk-taker because when i am angry enough, i will use this spell. Your mileage may vary.

I recently was told that whenever I perform a hoodoo work I am automatically making a pact with a dark spirit, demon, devil etc.

I have never made a pact with anyone.

Is there such a thing as an unintentional pact? Bec I dont want that!!

No, there is no such thing as an "unintentional pact."

Some people just don't like folk magic and of those people, some will go so far as to say anything bad about it that they think might cause you to change your mind about studying or practicing it.

Ok silly question, so I live in Mexico and recently visited teotehuacan or the pyramids of the son and moon, I couldn't make it to the top due to having all four kids with me but we relaxed in the shade by a creek and for some reason I felt compelled to pray I didn't pray to any deity in particular just that my troubles would soon end next think I know four hummingbirds start buzzing around us! I know about la chuparosa but I don't think it was him later I bought a statue of poptepetl and itza to put on my love altar every since I believe poptepetl has been communicating with me. Now would this warrior fall along the lines of Indian spirits? I know he's nothing to do with hoodoo but other native spirits work with me and he's so powerful a warrior I'd like him on my side.so how could I draw him in? I was thinking lm Indian guide products and maybe copal? I've never offered anything but tobacco and lm incenses to native spirits any tips and suggestions?

Yes you can work with spirit guides if from different areas. Many people have ancestors who are not hoodoo related, such as me my family is mostly European Decent, I still pray to them and they assist me because they love me and I them. As for offering you would have to research the deitie and what is offered to them. Much like saints those offerings can be very different and also very specific.

But I'm actually a bit confused why an Aztec warrior would want to be around me? I'm from Florida and I'm an 1/8 Seminole and Appalachian of unknown ancestry on dads side Jewish,Romanian /creek and Irish on moms so this isn't an ancestral spirit I've had a few ancestral spirits make thier prescence known.

I've used simple yes no divination with a pendulum with ancestral spirits before this one only responds in dreams? I'm hesitant to use a spirit board because I don't like them but I'm genuinely curious about this spirit if it's popoteptl or just a random Aztec guide.

My husband who is an indigenous Mexican said use the spirit guides formulas and add it to the copal? I know copal is traditional here. I was thinking leaving him some mole perhaps, or a tamale but I'm not sure as only my ancestors get food offerings from me maybe praying to the ancestors could help clarify ? Or maybe I need a professional reading?

A reading would surely help! The spirit can be coming to you from the marriage line, or if you have children, Also we never really know unless we do DNA test know where we come from. Like you I know most mine is European and Italian. Food offerings to spirits is often common along with hard sprits, water, smokes, coins etc. It is common in many traditional customs to leave food for the spirts a candle as well. I have a friend who grew up in Mexico and leaves food for her spirits as well. If your husband knows the custom and tradition then follow his advise. You can also thank the spirit for reaching out to you then ask him why, or give a sign if its him, a dream to explain etc. Tell the spirt you need more understanding.

It must be the children and my husband causing the link I'm also in the process to become a Mexican citizen and my roof over looks popoteptls volcano so every morning when I give my tobacco offerings his volcano is in view. I'll follow my husbands advice and pray to my Seminole grandmother who does a lot of spiritual leg work for me see if she can bring clarity as well as I'll ask this spirit to communicate and help me understand his purpose in the contact and thank him for contacting me maybe it's due to some really bad stuff going on that he could help with?

Wath for signs and movement. Also listen to your gut. I have had spirt signs or ancestors show signs to the point I knew I had to respond and was being called. Example: My mom is passed on and her name came up 45 times in the last day, but her name is an old style name not common to today. All of the examples were communication. Another case happened last few weeks regarding my Great Grandpa who has a very distinct Italian name yet it was popping all over me for a week. When this happens I light a candle, set some water and pray to them and my other ancestors asking for guidance, asking for clarity and support. I also thank them and show my regard for them. Set candles, put coffee, cigars, whisky, sweet cakes which my family loves. You surely can be reached by a helpful spirt to assist with bad situations. I would pray for signs and understandings as to why and what to do. Then watch for them and see what happens. You have a very unique life situation with the volcano, the location and family that you may have been selected.

Jaydee today at dawn when I was giving my offerings the volcano had smoke coming up and it so happened a strained in laws situation unfolded this morning at the same time and asi heard the ruckus downstairs I asked popotepetl to conquer my enemies and a breeze blew not a definite sign but maybe something will come of it

Hello all!

I'm a newbie to this site

I started reading cards when I started high school and I've been doing it since.

Recently I've been getting serious with developing my abilities more and start doing work.

I found out archangel Raziel is really good and it's been wonderful having his guidance, but I want to make sure I'm going by everything the correct way.

1) I usually pray for guidance but should I make a petition?

2) Can jars be made for Archangels as a sign of appreciation?

You could make a bottle or jar that is akin to a vessel or home for him on your altar if that is what you feel. You could simply light a small candle to him as an offering instead of inside a work with him or perhaps some fresh flowers.

Hi there! It’s been quite awhile since posting in the forum, but have an important question that I’m kindof nervous about asking, honestly. Whenever I first started practicing hoodoo, I went all in and connected with certain dieties and figures to assist me with workings. I didn’t know what I was doing really but just starting out and excited. On my altar was also a shrine with Marie Laveau and Elegua placed on there. Over the years even though everytime I have asked for their help with workings and have given them offerings, I don’t know if I established connection with them. With Elegua it is a bit easier to say thank you and farewell to because I was never initiated into Santeria... but with Marie I’m not sure how or if I should say goodbye. Is this disrespectful? Is it dangerous? Is it rude? If one were to remove a dieties shrine from their home, how do they do this or should they?

If you are not working with the saint, spirit etc, and not actively trying to connect, its hardly thought they are with you. I would take the statue down and donate it to a location, church, store, that takes and collects those type of items.

Hi, I have a question about petitioning for help selling my home for the price I need and finding a suitable home to purchase for a price I can manage. I have worked with Saint Joseph often, as well as Saint Jude. I will be working with Saint Joseph for this purpose, but, I'm getting a feeling that I should ask Saint Jude for help as well. In a way, it seems disrespectful not to trust one, or the other, with this really important request. On the other hand, it might be ok? How do others feel about petitioning two saints at the same time for the same purpose? thank you to anyone who has ideas/opinions on this !

I have moved your post to the correct section of the forum, where we discuss how to choose saints with whom to work. Please read through this thread for ideas on how to make those selections.

As for working with more than one saint at a time for the same goal, you can do that. However, I would petition each one for a different part of your situation based on how that saint helps people in need (such as one for selling your home at a good price and another for setting you on the right path towards your future home, as an example). Keep your work focused.
