You might want to consider trying the spell the traditional way with cash. Many financial advisors advise people who are trying to reduce debt and save, make a weekly budget for themselves and then withdraw that amount of cash. When you see the little pile of cash that you have to use, and know that you cannot spend more once it is gone, it's actually a GREAT motivator for spending more wisely. If you're just dealing with little plastic cards, it's MUCH easier to over-spend.

You might find that a cash budget worked the traditional way with Money Stay With Me would really help reduce spending.

Perhaps it's that I like the symbolism of working with reall green-back but I agree with Devi on this one: working the spell as it was done tradition might be worth considering.

I agree, I wouldn't oil my debit card only because I wouldn't want it to feel oily! lol However working Money Drawing, Money Stay With Me and Wealthy Way oil into your wallet while you pray is a great way to work, your basically fixing your whole wallet as a money drawing and keeping talisman. I would keep just a pinch of Sassafras in there as well.

In-fact I make up a very small packet with Sassafras, Alkanet and powdered Allspice Berries and slip that in. You can make it quite small, just use a little pinch of each and sew them into a small scrap of cloth. Dress that with the aforesaid oils and pray strongly over it. Your basically making a small mojo for your wallet or purse. It's a simple piece of magic that can really help in tough economic times.

This is a great thread...many interesting ideas to think about. I would warn, however, that placing your credit cards or debit cards under the lodestone will wipe the magnetism from them and render them useless for "swiping" a purchase. While this will definitely impede your ability to spend money with them (

) I don't think that's what you want to do! LOL

Hi there! Fellow Occulties!

i have a problem..... I am self employed, and I have run up a good number of debt due to my business transactions, some due to my misjudgements, and miscalculations, others due to the harsh nature of my business.. Recently i have been harassed constantly by people who i am currently owing monies, to, with phone calls, and a couple one or two have threaten to send over their boys to handle the scene, in local speak...

knowing the tough economic climate we are in, and yes of course everyone need s to be paid whats due to them, but how can i hold Back or stop the harassing calls( besides changing my number and address

) and from them taking any actions whatsoever till I am able to pay them off..?? or start making payments?

Can a freezing spell work? how effective? St. Micheal? what can assist???? please let me Know? Urgent?

Hi there:

If people are threatening you physically and/or threatening your family, call the cops. If you're in the sort of business where you'd rather not have the cops around (and I get that impression from your post) then you need to work on magical protection. St. Michael is a great angel to work with. Get his prayer card from Lucky Mojo and put it above every door that goes into your house, so he can watch out for you. Consider getting the Fiery Wall of Protection kit and working it to keep yourself and your property safe. You can also use the Fiery Wall of Protection products on your car, if you have one, because it seems to me that if someone threatens *you*, they'll just as soon mess up your car too.

Until the kits and supplies arrive from Lucky Mojo, you can pray over some salt and sprinkle a line across the threshold of your front door, saying "No one evil or anyone who means me harm can enter my home." Scatter some salt on each windowsill as well.

You may want to consider growing thyme and basil in your kitchen on an on-going basis and making those plants central to an altar-space devoted to money drawing as this will give plenty a permanent space in the hearth of the home. Fridge-tops are great, wide window-sills work well too.

My number one debt reducing tip is this: do whatever work is required to draw money making opportunities to yourself; take advantage of these money making opportunities and last and most important -- apply all those earnings to debt, exclusively.

For me, in the past this has meant taking on catering jobs, proof-reading bad romance novels, baking more cinnamon rolls, pies and pumpkin rolls than I can count, mucking out a snake infested koi pond...the list goes on. The important thing is you must be ready and willing to take on these opportunities once you succeed in drawing them to yourself.

It sounds like you're familiar with hoodoo and able to work effectively on your behalf. To get a lot of bang for the buck, I'd agree with the suggestion that you work with an oil lamp dressed for ongoing prosperity and money-drawing.

I love LM's Money House Blessing line in particular and have a lamp fixed based on that formulation. It really resonates with me, especially since I derive my income from home and often from spiritual works, but another formula could be more appropriate for your situation, depending on the nature of your business and money making skills.

If you'd like, tell us a bit more about the different ways you are able to make money and I would be happy to make more specific recommendations.

I definitely agree with CopperFox...think---and more importantly, be ready to work outside the 'box'......During my periods of unemployment over the last 6 months, I've driven my neighbor to the airport a few times (got paid cash and got my tank topped off for less than he would have had to pay for a car service), drove a friend to and from her job for a few days after her car accident, sold off some stuff cluttering up my house that I wanted to get rid of anyway. Be prepared to grab those opportunities where ever you can find them!

Warn them if it happens again, you will refer this to your attorney for harassment. . It is a good idea to record the phone call, if you can. And when you call back better use Skype, a pay phone, or caller ID blocking.
No one wants to be contacted by the debt collectors, especially when you are busy doing something. And like in your case who are being harass. But with the Administration proposal allows federal debt collectors to call cell phones, debt collectors can legally contact you on your cell phone. I guess it will be an additional problem.

You may need to speak with someone or actually map out your finances to see where you can cut back and what not. I've set a goal of paying off my credit card debt in 2 years. I am wondering what would be appropriate spell work, either one-time or for the long haul. My wife is a teacher and I am a librarian, and our income doesn't change much from paycheck to paycheck, so any significant extra money would have to come from other sources (and we're open to pretty much anything: change of career, side businesses, writing jobs, etc.). I sort of feel this is as much a road opening problem as a financial one, but I don't know how to proceed.

I have an alligator foot with a mercury dime on top, like the foot is grabbing the dime, dressed with Money Stay with Me and Pay Me Now oils. I burn a tea light candle to it daily dressed with money oils. It goes out and grabs money and keeps it around.

I also dress my money using the SSCCSS spell, which is in the online Hoodoo book by cat yronwode. This will keep you from spending money.

Sassafras helps you budget in a positive and optimistic way. That is the principal part of getting out of debt. Alfalfa makes you aware of investments and expenditures.

You could also dress your credit cards with Cast Off Evil oil, so that you don't just spend blindly and get out of bad habits that created debt in the first place.

I too have a pay check that does not change very often. I have a list of my bills that are fairly regular like electric, water, cable etc. I split the bills up in to two piles. The first pile are those bills that are due at the beginning of the month and the second goes into the pile that can be paid at the second pay period. Then I add in what I want to spend on food including going out to eat, gas for the car, insurance and savings. So at this point I have two piles and I make two lists from each. I make a note of my left over money which I apply a little to my debts and the rest to a dream or goal that seems so huge it needs help to achieve it. For instance I took Cat's correspondence course last year and I put that money toward her course. I make 12 copies of each bill paying list and staple it to the paycheck that will be used for meeting those bills. I mark off each bill as I pay it. My brain likes seeing big black markes marking out debt. Once I got one debt paid I did not apply it to other debts I put it toward my big goal -this is important!!!! I shifts the flow of money coming into your home.
I bind the bills that are long term debt with black ribbon and mark them with uncrossing oil. I use this oil because everytime I think about paying those bills I get all ticked off and cross with the world so it keeps me from feeling afflicted by the bills.
Then I take a little money stay with me oil and do a five spot blessing (touch each corner and the center) on my check book. I ask my guardian angel to keep me on track and focused on my goal of paying those who I rightfully owe money.
Lastly, I do a bi-weekly ritual of burning a King Solomon Candle (Fixed) when I pay my bills, so that I will have the insigth into my family's needs for the month. The paying of the bills is the ritual! When I drop the paid bills in the mail, I say "May this money return to me a million fold."
I have been debt free for four years since doing this and I did not file bankruptcy to get debt free. I believe that setting up a ritual and giving myself permission to paid a goal lets me know not all of my money is going down the drain.
Since becoming debt free, I burn a Wealthy Way candle every month when I pay my utilities and I say " Money comes and money grows, quickly in the money flows, fill my coffers to the top ever higher never stop!"

I called in the radio show this past Sunday about financial issues, and to that effect, I got divination and spellwork recommendations from Cat, Miss Michaele, and ConjureMan Ali. (For background, here is the link, and my part starts at about 15:55.)

Basically, the recommendations were that I start a money altar, do some Money Drawing and Money Stay With Me work, do some saint work, and some other things.

Based upon those recommendations, here are the contents of my cart at the LM site:

Money Stay With Me Spell Kit
King Solomon Wisdom Oil
Crown of Success Oil
Money Drawing Oil
Money Drawing Incense Powder
Money Stay With Me Incense Powder (Just so that I can have some extra)
Steady Work Incense Powder

Some things I was already doing, before the radio show:
-Homemade money sugar jar with herbs, coins, name paper, etc.
-Honey jar on my supervisors and co-workers (with licorice and calamus root for domination)
-Fenugreek jar, in which I place a few seeds every two days while praying over it. (Got this one from Carolina Dean's site.)
-Ammonia jar, with a petition describing the aspects of my financial situation that I'd like to see turned around.

I'm hoping to add these to the money altar, with the obvious exception of the ammonia jar, which remains hidden in a dark place.

My plan (based on the recommendations I received) is as follows...

1. On the seven-knob green candle, write "Money stay with me and grow" on each knob, and dress it with Money Stay with Me and Money Drawing oils, to be burned the first seven nights of my work at the altar, along with corresponding incense powders. (Mentally add "at the money altar" to most items here.)

2. Wash the lodestone with whiskey, dress it with those same oils, and feed it with magnetic sand and money (real and fake).

3. Place bills (dressed with those oils and dusted with Money Stay with Me powder, with the SUCCESS sigil and "rtm" for "return to me") underneath the lodestone for a week before spending them on needs and/or donating a bit to charity. Maybe use the fixed $1 bills for tips when I get to eat out.

4. Anoint and smoke things with Money Stay with Me, so that nothing breaks or malfunctions.

5. Collect dirt from a crossroads and from my local bank, and mix those with Money Stay with Me and Money Drawing incense, per ConjureMan Ali's suggestion. In addition, I was thinking of also collecting dust from my workplace, and mixing it with crossroads dirt and Steady Work incense. (My income can fluctuate depending on how much work they have to give us any particular week.)

6. Attempt to work with Saint Nicholas. My financial issues include student loan debt, and one of his stories involves him paying off a man's debts so he would not have to sell off his daughters into slavery. (If this does not work, other options include Saint Martin Caballero and St. John the Almoner.)

7. Prayer work, in which I ask for money to cover basic needs and financial obligations, give some to charity, and live comfortably and in dignity.

8. Because I'm a student, regularly anoint my head with King Solomon Wisdom and Crown of Success oils.

This is what made sense to me, based upon my notes and review of the radio session. To that end, I was just wondering if some people would be willing to offer their opinions on my proposed approach. If so, wonderful!

Also, I have a question about the lodestone and cash. When I received the spellwork recommendations for drawing and keeping money, it was suggested that
1. I feed my lodestone with money as well as magnetic sand
2. I place money under the lodestone to train it to hunt and attract more money.

When I feed it with money, is that also the money that I then take and spend? Or are the feeding money and the trained money completely separate? Can I later take the fed money, re-feed it with new money, and spend the fed money...or does the money, once fed, have to stay there with the lodestone?

You can take the trained and fed money that is under your lodestone and spend it, a bit at a time. You're supposed to spend that trained money; it's trained to go out into the world and "hunt" you some more money. Just keep putting new bills under the stone regularly.

Miss Michaele, could you elaborate on the idea of working with his aspect as Santa Claus? (Specifically, the significance of the Santa Claus aspect and how one might approach it.) If so, that'd be awesome.

I have a preliminary set-up for my money altar, which I will update as I acquire more supplies. For the waxing moon, I'm currently burning green candles on top of my money jar and co-worker honey jar. And last night, I printed a photo of St. Nicholas, and made my first offering (candle, frankincense, and a dollar bill) and prayer to him; did not ask for anything other than that he accept my prayer/offering.

Interestingly, I had a birthday party this past Sunday, and a friend gave me a hand-drawn representation of the Emperor card because of its association with the sign of Aries (also my sun sign). I have added that to my altar, as well. (I think I will eventually incorporate it into a Career Success "sub-altar.")

I ordered my LM supplies, so I should get them before long, as well.

Oh, and about an hour ago, I randomly found two shiny dollar coins on my way back home from school!

My husband and I have been trying to pay off our credit card, and so we've been using Money Stay With Me on one glass candle a month.

Each month, the candle glass turns black.

However, we have been paying off a lot of the bills. My husband suggested that perhaps that might be the wrong choice of oil b/c technically the money isn't "staying at home" or "with us", as the moment we get a paycheck we sent it right out to the credit card company.

Could he be correct? If so, which oil or oils should I use to bring money into the home and make sure we keep using it only to pay the necessary bills?
