some people mention \writing their petition on the candle..here i reckon they just write what they want, no crossing with names andf such needed

and there there are those who write a petition on paper and place under the candle

does it matter which one you do? is the latter used mainly for glass enclosed candles? is name or petition paper better than writing your petition on the candle?

any tips would be appreciated. thanks.

Hello, Sarafina ,
When performing a spell, I make a petition paper in addition to inscribing the candle (if it is a free-standing candle).
So, if I want success (for example), I would inscribe the word success (without any breaks in the word to word) nine times in a spiral fashion from bottom to top.
My petition paper, obviously, is different, but that's how to inscribe a free-standing candle.
Hope this helps.
Take care

I was beginning to think petition or name paper was mainly for enclosed candles..i see you can do both with freestanding. good to know. thanks

I did an fmb spell last Friday and burried the candle wax in the area in front of my door. However I still haven't done anything with the petition/name paper yet. It's a petition for him to follow me and love me only. What should I do with it? Is the spell null because I've just kept the paper on my table? I have read the laying tricks page but it doesn't exactly answer. Do let me know!!

Hi kaboodle,

Your spell is not null. There are numerous ways of working with a petition paper and it is often kept and re-used from one spell to another (although you could also have buried it with the spell remains from the FMB candle, or burnt the petition to ash in the dying flame of the candle). You can re-use the petition on a series of Vigil lights, or put it in a sweet jar or work it into an oil lamp or mojo hand: be creative!

kandyspop

DON'T throw it in the trash -- that's like throwing away your work.

You can keep it if you think you might like to burn some more love candles on it.

You can use it in other love spells on the same person -- in a mojo bag, for instance.

Or you can bury it in your garden or a potted plant if the spell was successful, or leave it at the crossroads if it failed.

On June 5, 2014, I ordered 1 Master Key Vigil Candle for MISC to burn for me. I have the email receipt, and Lucky Mojo/MISC charged my debit card on June 6, 2014. But, this order does not appear in my Lucky Mojo account list of orders And I have not received any emailed Candle Report. Was this Candle ever burned for me? What email address do I use to contact someone at MISC regarding this matter?

I do hope to hear back about this ASAP. After all, I did pay MISC for this service (MISC charged my debit card on June 6, 2014), and I think I'm within my rights to know what happened with my order, and why I have not received any email Candle Report (after 3 weeks; my order was actually placed during the night of June 4, 2014), and why this order does not appear in my Lucky Mojo account's list of past orders. Unfortunately, I do not currently have long distance phone service, so I cannot phone Lucky Mojo about this matter, (I'm on the East Coast of the USA).

Thank you for your attention.

Hello, fire_and_ice,
Just e-mail the shop and explain everything. See what they say
order@luckymojo.com
I'm wondering if it was a computer glitch that missed your order (since it doesn't show up in your account). That's my educated guess.
Take care

Hello everyone.

I'm wanting to get some candles lit for me at MISC, and I noticed that the character limit for petitions is now 200. I'm just wanting to include two names and birth dates, but I'm noticing that now makes it "impossible" to write my petition in, or at least a petition longer than ten words. :) Would it be more appropriate to send the names & birthdays along with the email that has the photos?

That would work just fine Stephanie R. If you want to be 100% certain that it all gets through properly, you can also call the shop and confirm with a candle deacon.

Thank you both so much! :) I really appreciate the answer.

I will probably stick with my idea then, since my petition really isn't very long. But it's good to know there is another option just in case!

Thank you again!

I recently had a dream where I came across this psychic who told me to write a petition and place it under my pillow. Has anyone heard something like that before. Can I trust a dream like that?

Hello, Eternal_Moonlight ,
Yes I have heard of this.
Sounds like you've got help on your case!
But I would make this an extra petition and not a replacement for a petition that you need to place under candles, etc.

Hello!

I am brand-new to this board after lurking for quite some time.

My question pertains to work I have going now. I have three black glass encased candles burning on my altar. All are dressed with "mean herbs" (to include red pepper and poppy seeds), black arts oil, crossing oil, and goofer dust (I'm mad as hell) All are burned on top of one photo each. All had their own prayer. One candle was started the day before the others.

I prayed and spoke very fervently about what I wanted. The one that was started the day before the others has a flame that dances a LOT. I knew that it was THAT flame because when I lit the other two candles, they did NOT dance like that and still don't. The other two took a while to get going (with a very low flame), but I went to sleep and woke up and they are going strong now, with some flickering.

Upon looking at this board, I realized I did NOT put a name or petition paper! (Duh! ) I don't know how that didn't occur to me! I simply fixed the candles, fixed the pictures (put some of the oils on it) and got to work. So, I went and wrote one for each immediately. I put some oil on each of those and slid it underneath each candle, underneath each picture(underneath feels right). But THEN, when I read this forum again, it seems I did THAT wrong too, as I simply took a black pen (I meant to use black and cut some computer paper (the cutting, I meant to do), and used that.

What do you think? Will I have to do this work over? (Which doesn't bother me, I really hate these folks) I will say that they are all going strong now and burning pretty clear -- and the person I hate most -- the one that was started before the others -- is the one that is dancing a LOT, with a strong flame and damn near crystal clear glass.

Hello, jaguarjoya ,
It sounds like you're doing a great job!
But if the petition papers are no correct, then simply finish out these spells and then start again (as you had stated that you didn't mind doing that).
Wishing you the very best

Thanks Miss Aida! I was sure I had totally screwed up, but to be honest, it is clear that SOMETHING is getting through, as the "dancing", at least to me, cannot be ignored. I will be doing it over just to ensure that things were done according to tradition and standard. I want some hardcore results.

Do you write petitions in past, present or future tense? Is it ok to say, I want to get x amount of money before this date or does being too specific limit the work?

Hey kaboodle,

Write out the petition like it already happened or will happen. For instance "I (insert name) will recieve $500 dollars before August 1st 2014". It's perfectly fine to use a certain dollar amount, If you are worrying about limiting yourself include "so that all my needs are met and more" when you write out the petition.

Best wishes!

Hello,

I want to make sure the petitions are sound for a couple spells. The first one is for motivation, energy, and to stop procrastination. I have read it is better to be positive, so I was going to leave out the part about my procrastination and have it read something like "May (my name, dob), have the energy and motivation to complete projects,"

The second would be for love drawing for a new/ideal mate, and there are enough examples on the forum how to word this, but was wondering about adding a date to the petition. Are there any guidelines for this? Of course I would like it to be sooner than later, but not have the date be unrealistically soon or too far out.

Thank you!
:)

elsie,

1) Regarding the first petition:

A) Do not refer to yourself in the third person.

B) Do not be vague when you can be specific.

C) Be positive (you got that part right!).

Instead of your proposed form, which, in my case, would read something like,

"May catherine yronwode, born May 12, 1947, have the energy and motivation to complete projects."

say

"May i have the energy, skill, motivation, and luck to complete the writing and typesetting of my book [naming it, which i will not do here] by March 1st, 2015, and may i have the funds to hire Greywolf Townsend to design the cover and interior illustrations and to have it printed and published in time for the May, 2015 Hoodoo Heritage Festival, where i will distribute it free to those who take my workshop, and sell it thereafter through the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. and Amazon!"

2) Yes, you may add a time-frame date if you wish, although i personally do not do so because, frankly, i consider it a bit demanding on God's time.

Using Dragon's Blood ink. I need to use DBI on a petition but how do you use it w/quill if you aren't suppose to lift the pen? Has anyone use DB in a fountain pen?

Hello, Becky,

Good question!!

Yes, you can use a fountain pen. that's a wonderful idea!

What I have done with quills in the past is to get a little dropper and with my left hand, drop a little Dragon's Blood Ink (DBI) in front of the quill when more ink was needed. It take a little practice but it works well!!

Wishing you the best

All right, that does it. I have a small collection of fountain pens. I've been shy of using Dragon's Blood Ink in them because of the resin content of the ink. But now I'll make the experiment.

Thanks for the push, Miss Aida :)

I'm about to purchase a Fiery Wall of protection light from MISC for protection of myself, my daughter & our pet from a roommate from hell (had a reversal candle lit by MISC for this same person) and I'm having difficulty writing the petition. Do I ask for protection from this particular person & name her? Or just ask for protection in general? Also, whose photo do I attach, mine or the person I want protection from?

GypsyAnn, the pics and the names that you put on your candle and petition should be for the people that you want to protect.

This is urgent!
I'm hoping someone is online now and is able to help me out as it's pretty late and I can't reach the root worker I'm working with. Many thanks in advance for advice on what to do.

I am on day 3 of 13 days uncrossing rituals. My root worker has written and dressed a petition paper for me to put under a candle before I light it at evening.
Somehow and please, I have no idea how, the petition paper got lost today in the house! It must be in the house but I've searched every corner and I can not find it! I need to do my candle ritual now but don't have the petition paper! Help, what do I do? As I said, since I just found out about an hour ago I've been desperately looking for the paper, it's late and can't get a hold of my root worker to ask for advice directly. I hope someone here can help me!
Please don't tell me I have to start all over again, this is the 3rd time I'm starting this ritual and I hope there is a way to continue and not stop!
Can I make my own petition paper? What do I need? How do I do it?

Hi,
I have a question, if I am placing a petition paper inside a honey jar for someone to come to me, do i anoint the paper with come to me oil or even commanding or essence of bend over oil or do I just leave the oil anointed paper for candle burning.

I do not have any other personal concerns as yetto place in the jar only the petition paper, I am trying to get a photo of the person.

Anoint the candles you are going to burn on the honey jar. The honey is something you should be able to use in cooking to draw them to you if you get the opportunity so oils wouldn't be a good idea.

Hello AlRam,

You can wait to get more personal item than just a name on a paper. However it might work just like that if your willpower and prayers are strong enough, and if it's to be...You definitely can put oils on the paper and inside the jar. An essence of bend-over for a love jar is not something that is recommended, as it will not provoke love, but submission, which may turn to something ugly your never wished upon yourself. The target may submit to you, but hates himself for it afterwards, so put something sweet instead. I'll suggest "Love me", "Attraction" and "Look me over" mix to make someone attracted by you. There are so many suggestions, please look over the forum under "love spells". Good luck!

Hi AlRam,

You can put the petition inside the honey jar.
Like Dragonfly72 mentioned do not put essence of bend over oil
In the jar or on the petition.
Obtain a pic, name paper, anything that person has
touched. You can get a pic of them online, hopefully.

Good Luck!

Hi
I have a question. I have been reading the forum but am still confused over the following:

Option A: Let's say I take a piece of paper and write someone name however many times and then turn the paper 90 degrees and write me name over their's. what is this called a name paper or petition paper.

Option B: I take the same paper and write a command around the both names in a circle. this is call what?

Option C: I write a command like ( name of person ) come to ( my name ) and then cross it with my name. This is now called what?

Hi AlRam,

I see how this could be confusing. Option A is a name paper, used for burning under a candle and praying over it for your desired outcome. Option B Is traditionally used for honey jars. Option C is a petition paper used for candle work of spells.

Hope this helps!

Whenever I do any type of sweetner spell, such as a honey jar, or love spell this is the paper I use to write my petitions on. I even hand drew one of the pentacles of venus on this paper and had great success with it as a talisman. I figure the paper's close proximity with the sugar gives it a little extra ooomph!

Would like to know when writing a petition paper for St. Martha does it have to be on a certain paper. And do you put names and date of birth on the petition.

Hello, AlRam ,

I usually use the option where I write the person's name and the command. This is a petition paper. You're petitioning a request.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with your questions. Are you just trying to figure out the best option?

Hello, AlyssaH,

I'm not sure what your petition is.

Colors would depend on the petition.

I like to use pencil. So, If their name is John Doe and I want him to come to me, I would write his name in pencil and then top it off with wither a pink or red ink with my command.

I do the opposite if it's something different. If I want to be victorious over something, I would write Victory inn pencil and then write me name over it with purple ink.

This is just one way of doing it.

Of course, Miss cat has the best ideas as she is THE Master. So, you might want to look at the pages and see what she has to say

Hello, Angelfire ,

You can use parchment paper, torn brown paper (from a grocery bag). There are also other types of articles that you can write petitions.

Find them here: www.luckymojo.com/mojocattools.html

How do I prepare a photo to put under a candle I am burning?

1) I am trying to get my girlfriend to return to me therefore, I am looking for the best option to use for the honey jar and to burn under a candle.

Situation 1: what I am using is a piece of brown paper where I wrote her name 7 times and cross it with mine and then I write the command come to me around the names. Am I correct?)

Situation 2 :If I were to write Jane Doe return to/or come to John Doe 7 times and then cross it with John Doe 7 times, is this what I place under a burning candle?),

Situation 3 : I just write Jane Doe 7 times and cross it with John Doe 7 times. This is used when?

2) Also the person I am trying to get to return has posted a photo of her family online. I do not know their names or how they are related to her but I know they are family. how can I use this to my benefit, I could print the photo and put it under a burning candle or honey jar but what do I write or prepare the photo?

Hi AlRam,

I've merged your question on placing a photo under a candle into the long thread on making and working petition and name papers since answer to your questions is in the many pages of information provided here. Please take the time to read the valuable responses moderators and workers have already taken the time to write up as it can help you in your future work as well as this work.

In all of your questions, you ask for ''the right way'' to make/use a given type of petition and paper. Keep in mind that there are several ''right ways'' and several uses for different types of papers. Consider getting a magical coaching session with an AIRR member to go over in detail how to do the work and how to approach a case you're working on.

As specific answer to your questions:
1) Sounds fine. That's a petition paper used for honey jars, to influence a situation, to load a skull candle, to get a job (not with ''come to me'' as the order mind you, ''hire me'' would be more appropriate in that case) or for any of a number of different types of work.
2) You can. You could also use the same type of petition paper as the one for your honey jar. You could also write the lines out 5x or 9x instead of 7x. You could also write her name an odd number of times and then cross and cover it with your order rather than your name.
3) To get the upper hand, influence, show power over or control someone. You're ''over'' them. It's also used to keep you on their mind if in conjunction with a skull candle or Spirit work.
4) When preparing the photo for use under a candle or other spell, it can be used on as the petition paper over which you write or it can be used as a personal concern and folded into the petition paper. It can be 5-spotted with an appropriate oil if used as a petition (or a concern) and appropriate herbs can be folded within it. It is then placed under the candle-holder or within it depending on if you intend to re-use it later or if its ok to risk losing it if it flares as the candle finishes burning.
5) A family photo can be used in a honey jar to make her whole family sweet toward you and like you.

Hi
I am a little confuse, other forums and websites says. Can you tell me if my understanding of your answer is correct?
1. For a honey jar to sweeten someone towards me. I should write her name 5x and cross and cover it with my name 5x and then write a command like "love me" in a circle around the names to influence a situation. am I correct?

2. If I want to get the upper hand or control her then I should write her name 5x then cross and cover it with the command " return to me" or come to me" can I use "I compell thee/you"? Can this be placed into the honey jar.

3:The photo can be be used as a personal concern and folded into the same petition paper and placed into the honey jar, or I can use it as a petition paper, If I am writing on it do I write my command like " love me", "come to me" or "return to me" or even " I compell thee/you" on the side with the person picture or on the reverse side/back side of the photo?

4: Do I place the family photo just inside the honey jar or inside the petition paper ( the petition paper has the command "love me" written.
Is my understanding to your points correct if not can you offer some further clarification please. Thank you.

Hello, AlRam ,

You are overthinking all of this.

Just relax and try to stop worrying over al of this.

Every root worker does things differently. I always use 7 for love. Other rootworkers use 5 or 9. So, just write whatever feels right

1-Yes -- or once, or 3 times, or 11 times or as many times as will fit on the paper!
2-Yes
3-You can do either. I believe I answered this question on a different thread
4-I also answered this question elsewhere.

take care

Hi I apologise for posting on different threads, I will keep to this thread from now on.
Thank you for your answers, however, I am trying to grasp a proper understanding so I can do this the correct way. I fully understand point 1 and 2 now so I should not have to ask any more questions to take up too much of your time, however,
1. In response to question 3, I read your response where you said I fold the photo inside the petiton paper or glue her photo to my photo with honey and place it inside the jar and If I am placing under a "come to me"candle I place it face up and I can write my command like "come to me" or "return to me" on any side of the photo. Am I correct with this.
2. I did some reading but so far I did not find anything as to how to place the family photo inside the honey jar. can you please explain this to me again( I am new to all of this).
3. Also If I am placing a petition paper under a candle, can I fold the same photo inside the petition paper ( which has her name written 7 times, crossed by my name and the command "come to me" or "return to me" written in a circle.

Once I can understand these final 3 question properly I should not be asking so many questions as before.
Thank you for your kind patience.

Hi Sorry for so many post, Just trying to get things right. I am reading all the posts/pages but somehow i keep getting confuse because sometimes what i am reading seems to be conflicting and not consistent. Basically this is all the questions i need the info for. if someone can answer these questions i greatly appreciate it.
1. i am building a honey jar so I should her name crossed by my name and then the command love me.( this is consistent on all posts)
2. If i am writing on a piece of brown paper and placing under a "come to me" or "return to me" candle do I use the same procedure or style of paper as in point 1 except change the command to "return to me" or "come to me". or do i just write the command over her name and leave out my name.
3. on the photo of her that i am going to place under the candle do I just write the command on any side or do i have to include her name crossed by my name with the command in a circle.
4. what do i write on the family photo to be placed in the honey jar, and do i glue it to my photo as well.
5. in the honey jar if I am gluing her photo to my photo with honey face to face, am i writing "return to me" on my photo and what do i write on her photo?
6. I read in one of your response when I am gluing her photo to my photo I write " return to me " on my photo. Am I correct and if so what do I write on her photo in this case when I am gluing it to mine?
Thank you for your favorable response.

I am reading all the post on the different pages and some information I am not finding.
i am reading all the pages/post and somehow I am finding myself asking more questions than answers. Can someone help, I just need simple answers

What you're reading is not consistent and conflicting because, as Miss Aida and I have mentioned before, there are many different ways to work. Each worker has been taught differently and has their way of working which are all similar, but differ in the details. You're getting caught up in the details. That's also the reason a magical coaching session has been suggested to you - it provides one on one help, tailored to your specific needs, situation and learning curve.

For your questions (and please don't double-post, it creates more work for the moderators who have to edit and erase duplicata):
1) You anwered your own question but yes, you can work that way.
2) Either way works.
3) Usually you write her name and then turn the paper 90 degrees clockwise and cover it by your command or by your name and then encircle it all with your command.
4) The family photo is best used in a separate honey jar or in separate candles worked on her family to make them sweet on you, not in the one to get her to come back to you.
5) You can write the petition on her photo, on both photos, or on no photos and just fold the glued together pictures into a separate petition papers. There are many correct ways of doing it.
6) That is one way to do it. There are so many ways that people do these things that it would take a book to list them all.

The reason that the answers are confusion you more (since the process is simple) is probably because you don't understand why you're writing the petitions in a given way. Again, I encourage you to get a short magical coaching session to explain that to you. Once you understand the skeleton, muscle and skin of petition writing, the differences in clothes and make-up (details) won't get to you so much. And don't expect a consistent answer - there are many right ways to get to the same end result.

Oh no I feel very silly now  The email address isn't actually shown but it is instead a direct link  in the paragraph explaining how to actually get pictures to the Candle Ministry :)

I hope this helps anyone else.

Hi thank you, now i understand, so I can treat the photo as a petition paper in itself where i can cross her name with my name and encircle it with a command.
The family photo i am putting that in a seperate honey jar but what do i write on it for they to be sweet on me.

Can I put both petitions into the same honey( the petition where i cross my girlfriend's name with my name and encircle it with "love me" and then i have the two photo ( one of my girlfriend and one of me glued toghether with honey. i wrote " return to me" on her photo and folded into a separate petition paper.) Can these be in the same honey jar?

i am also burning a candle dressed with "return to me" oil and powder and i placed her photo face up underneath the candle with the command " return to me" written on the back.

i am also considering burning a skull candle to dressed with influence oil ( i am trying to influence her thinking to think about me and call me, I am considering digging out a hollow cavity under the skull candle where i am going to place my petition paper or photo of her, but my question is if i am trying to influence her to think about me do I write "think about me" or " call me" on the skull. can you offer me some suggestions please. i also read that i can burn this candle for a certain period each night for 7 nights but on the 7th night let it burn completety and then bury everything in my yard.

Hi AlRam,

For the family to be sweet on you, you cover and cross their names with yours and surround it with a suggestion such as ''likeandrespectme'' or ''weallgetalong''.

For the two petitions, although you could put the two separate petitions in the jar, I'd work with a single one. Remake it so that you have ''returntomelove'' both encircling your names. A single, targeted and well-made work is often better than throwing everything you've done up till now into the pot.

To find out how to best make and work honey jars, if you haven't already, take the time to read all (yes ALL, it's worth your time) of the pages in the following thread: general-honey-sugar-sweet-jar-questions ... t5536.html

To find out (and ask questions) about working skull candles, you can read through all of the information in the following thread: skull-candle-questions-and-answers-t15161.html. If after those 22 pages you still have specific questions on how to work the candle, you can ask them in that thread.

Blessings.

Hi so basically you are saying make 1 petition paper as normal with my name crossing her name with the command "returntomeloveme" encircling the names and i can put the two photos of us that is glued together face to face with honey( "return to me" written all over the back of her photo) inside that same petition paper before folding it and placing it in the honey jar.

Hi AIRam,

You could certainly work it like that - the photo makes the tie.

You could also name them generically - "The Wellbred Family" or "The Family of Louise Thatcher" without calling them name by name.

Hope that helps.
