Please do not start new threads!

Posts labelled "Please Help Me!!!!" or "HELP!!!" or "Help me Please!" could be about ANYTHING, from having been arrested or losing a job to having had a fight with one's Lover or being unable to get pregnant.

Board moderators spend TOO MUCH TIME re-titling these topics and attaching them to pre-existing threads. Without retitling, we don't know if your "Please Help Me!" post about having your home foreclosed is the same as -- or different from -- last month's "Please Help Me!" post about somebody else's boyfriend being gay.

So, please, STOP. Take a moment and THINK.

What is your problem? Here are a few samples of topics that people ask for help about:

All of these are CONDITION AND SITUATION posts. None of them are about named Lucky Mojo products.

So now you know that you will tack them on at the end of threads in the SITUATIONS AND CONDITIONS sub-forum.

Next, figure out which folder they go in. Let me give a few examples of sorting:

Going to the Casino -- Any Tips? = MONEY
Protection for my Child = PROTECTION
Getting Rid of Bad Neighbors = REAL ESTATE AND NEIGHBORS
Finding a New Love - LOVE

Okay, once you have found the right folder, open it up and inside you will find anywhere from 20 to 60 threads. Your post should be attached to one of those threads. READ THE TITLES. Select the thread title you think is the closest to your situation. Hit "REPLY" (which opens a box to type in) and start writing.

Send the post, and wait. We will get to it as soon as possible.

We ARE here to help.

We just need to know what kind of help you need.

Hello, Everybody,

It took Miss cat and me almost a year of tedious and time consuming work to merge over 10,000 loose posts down to around 4,500 topic threads. We spent hours upon hours, every single day, on this project.

This is because people were starting new topics for any question that they had.

We ask that you PLEASE use the search box in the upper right hand corner. In the dark green area, there is a white search box. Just type in your key words and you will be taken to the appropriate threads to choose from.

As of now, when the moderators see a new topic, we spend valuable time splitting, moving and merging these stray posts to the appropriate areas. This is time deprivation that could be instead used to answer our forum family members who sincerely need help.

We sincerely appreciate your cooperation.

Gonna say it again -- we are going through a batch of new folks starting new topics and also talking about the spells they got elsewhere not working. Pay attention, newbies -- this forum is organized by topic, and it is not a place to vent about non-functional spells you got off of youtube. Okay? THANKS.

Just DO NOT.

Instead, start by picking an area of interest (a life condition or a class or form of product) and read the threads in that section (or the one thread that seems closest to your personal interests) -- and read from page one onward. When you get to the end, if you still have a question, JUST ASK.

And this, my friends, is why we ask you not to start new topics (we have enough already) -- and why i tell my colleagues in AIRR to be sure they keep checking in with the AIRR thread cited above, because what they post there WILL be read!

Question: is there a way to prevent users who are not moderators or admins from creating new topics? Maybe that’s in the settings somewhere - if all non-mods and non-admins belong to the group called Users, just disable the permission for Users to start new topics.

That may be worth looking into. Modifications to the basic forum software can often be found online.

We do not want new topics being started, otherwise the forum floods with hundreds of topics that are actually related, then we spend time cleaning it up and putting it into order. Categories have been created on common themes, topics of interest, and Lucky Mojo products, go to those links to ask questions or to answer peoples post. Hope that helps explain.

Ok... I did not want to start a new topic but if I remember correctly on one of your lucky Mojo hoodoo root work hours shows recently you implied or said that you would like people to suggest topics that they would like to see be covered on your show. But there is no place to do that could you guys make a place in the form where people could suggest stuff like that? Please! If not could I leave my suggestions in this portion of the Forum or where would I leave my suggestions if you are even taking suggestions?
